  • Bikers Help Me! To Save My Planet From Global Warming.

Bikers Save Your Planet From Global Warming.

More than 100 world leaders gathered in Copenhagen to add to global efforts to fight climate change as the UN's top climate change official called for "significant and immediate action" on Monday at the inauguration of the UN Climate Change Conference here.

Beside all other issues out automobile takes a huge role in this global worming. CO2 being the culprit for all earth's ills. Co2 helps the climate to warm-up. Where the normal Co2 level in earth climate is 275 Co2 ppm there the current Co2 level is approx 375 Co2 ppm. More Co2 in climate means more temperature and more diseases. In 1870, it was approx 285ppm.

Our automobiles generates huge amount of Co2 and each ppm Co2 stays in climate for 100 years. So you can imagine how mush it is effective. Moreover, the numbers of automobiles is increasing day by day and we all know that we can’t stop it. So help the world and save your planet.

    • Always check your PUC between the schedule intervals. The Govt. rule for bikes is once in every 6 month. Also the PUC result shows how much Co2 your bike is producing. Compare the PUC result with you previous PUC certificate and if there have any significant difference then you need to take proper servicing of your engine. Also the CO % let you know the condition of the carburetor setting. Generally in average 150cc bikes 1.75 to 2.25 % CO at Idle speed produces optimum mileage and performance. So its for your good to keep update your PUC.

    • If you notice, any other automobiles are exhaling black smokes. Then insist the on duty traffic officer to take proper action or fine them. A without PUC checked bike can be fined up to rs.1000. As lots of private buses and cars roaming around the cities without any PUC check and they easily escape just by paying few bucks GHUSH. We use to do a lot of mess but how many we do for our good?

    • Always keep your bike healthy to keep the climate good. Servicing at proper interval, change engine oil during service schedule, always keep the air filter clean, a clean air filter provide more fresh air into the engine and it helps to burn the complete gasoline, also it very work full to get a good mileage and a smooth hassle free ride. Use good fuel only from petrol pumps or fuel stations. May the low cost black-market fuels are 20-30rs/litter but actually these fuels are petrol, diesel and even kerosene mixture. These types of fuels create more Co2 than regular petrol and it also very worse for your beloved machine.

    • Always turn off your bike at traffic signal if the stop is for more than 30 sec. And don’t unnecessary rip you acceleration to make you feel like a hero, ultimately it unnecessary burns more fuel also waste your valuable money and release more unnecessary Co2 in climate. You’ve money to waste, I’ve money to waste but we can’t waste our home, isn’t it?

It’s true that to save the world we cant stop automobiles on the road but it’s also true that if we take few steps then at least we can help to save our one and only HOME.

Moreover, in this world bikes are in 1st position in numbers between all automobiles. And day by day it’s increasing immensely. Think carefully. So definitely bikers have to think 1st. Isn’t it?

You know that line ‘Drops by drops of water can fill a bucket’ Bikes are just equivalent of that.

Also I’m requesting to xBhp members to focus on this topic.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes that’s a Mother Nature impact. BUT all vehicles in the last 100 years may cause for that eruption somewhere. You know the sea level is rising 2-3mm every year due to global worming. Remember the Mumbai flood? Increased storms, floods, barren land etc and many unwanted Mother Nature impact like that are due to massive climate changes so it’s not a matter of astonishing that somewhere global worming may cause for that eruption.

Soumen very nice though, if we as bikers take care of atleast 50% of things mentioned I think we in total can make a good impact in improving from the worsening condition of our nature

Save the Earth - We are the one who are running out of time, as Earth will take it own time to heal but that time may not be enough for us.

Yup that Volcano eruption will definitely affect the atmosphere in long run.
Its major affect will be the melting of Glaciers at higher rate, as you pointed above, the sea level is increasing 2-3 m every year.

Yea! Riding bikes, doing stunts is not the credibility. Any dumb can do that, credibility is what when you do something for others good, when you achieve something by doing that.

Great Thought Soumen, a right intention and correct place to put, is the best you have done. We must try alteast monitoring our bikes... it would be enough... however if they are more generous they can atleast request people to get the CO2 level adjusted & get the PUC certificate & save as much fuel as they can ...

Yes I saw and also I use to track many programs in Nat Geo regarding this issue.

Even our daily usable things are a concern for the global worming. All electrical equipments which we use that consumes huge electric even mobile phones charging too and to generate that electricity the Power Station needs to burn huge coal which produces CO and heat too. And the margin is so high nothing cant be done.

But still automobiles are i1st in the list. If people can make at least 0.0000001 % change that would be our credibility.

Ya man its high time that people get resposible and volutarily work towards saving the environment. We should do our day to day bit to save our environment, start doing it by the bike, then be observant in your surroundings ( turn off extra light, monitors, fans, save water, etc etc etc)
DO these things and at the end of the day when you hit the sack, it gives you a warm and good feeling that you are one of the few people who are responsible towards the environment.
                            Cheers!!!
