  • Group order: Crampbuster

I have posted a review of a little gem called crampbuster:

While I don't recommend this product to newbies, experienced tourers will appreciate the product, and trust me, it will be the best 500-600 rs spent ever! Mine got stolen some days ago (still recovering from anger ). However, I need one soon for my upcoming trips. The international shipping prices for one crampbuster shipped are around $15, so goes around 700-750rs. However, if I order a lot of 3, then the effective price per piece comes down to $11-$12, so around max Rs. 600. At 600 max rupees, this is a great deal, but I need two more interested buyers preferably from Pune/Mumbai. Otherwise others in country may either form their own group or pay for domestic shipping.

    EDIT: Order placed.
    EDIT2: Order received!
EDIT3: GO completed! Thanks felix.raghav and aargee!

Product: Crampbuster CB2 Normal (which will fit any motorcycle)
    Total Cost: 1596 (Actual cost) + 42.93 (HDFC charge) = 1638.93
    Per unit cost: 550Rs.

@Animeher - I saw your review long back & Sorry that I haven't understood it completely; however, if it can help like a cruise control (by taking off hands), then I would like to order one along with you & will make arrangements to get it from you.

@aargee: Cramp buster won't help you taking off your hands, as it is not a mechanical cruise control. However, you can easily relax your fingers and stretch palms, as just keeping the palm on the cramp buster will maintain the speed. With this, rather than twisting the accelerator with your hand gripping the accelerator, thus flexing all finger and palm muscles, you only keep your palm on the protruded part of the cramp buster, and increase and decrease pressure on it so that it revolves the accelerator. It greatly reduces the fingers and hand paining. I had gotten so used to it, I realized its importance more when I lost it and had to do a 175 kms trip without it.

Undeniably, it offers great support to your hands, and makes rides pleasent. Besides, actual cruise control things cost much more!

@Animeher: Can you confirm if this works fine with ZMA? I read somewhere that it doesn't suit the ZMA. If yes, add me to the list.

This will work with ZMA with usual throttle. If you have placed the fluffy cover or some fancy stuff then only it will not work. All bikes in India have 1/8" to 1 3/8" thick throttles, so it will fit all the bikes, no worries!

Get me one then! I do not use any fancy grips over the throttle. Sending you a PM.

Glad to see tourer's responses from all over! I will get the products in Pune, so I will have to ship them to you at your address, and you'll have to pay the shipping costs additionally, which I think will amount to some 50 bucks, but I could be wrong. If you can manage someone in Pune/Mumbai to collect these on your behalf, that would save on the shipping costs. Don't worry, I am not making a rupee here Just sharing a deal so that me as well as others should benefit.

I will update the first post with the rest two names by today evening, along with the waiting list if any.

It didn't work on my friend's ZMA. Problem was that the bar-end weight was rotating freely instead of being fixed, could be bike specific. Please check yours before using.

With R15 it won't work, since it's bar-ends are not wide enough.

It may be bike specific, as it is supposed to put on the handle bars itself (on accelerator), not bar ends! It will work even on commuter bikes having no bar end weights!

Anyways, before sending this out to ZMA guys, I'll check it myself whether it works on ZMA and then only will send I am ordering today, and updating the first post with the names. Once the item gets delivered to everyone, we can close this thread.
