what will be the "Bore x Stroke" for CBZ compared to my current stock setup of 63.5 x 49.5
Will it remain a Short Stroke Engine (also called as Over Square Engine) as referred in this article

            Whoa!

I have a 2000 model and it is just getting lazier day by day. Also, just got a R15 two weeks back, so thought of selling the CBZ. However, today, I read about the performance tuning for both CBZ & R15 from you. Now, I doubt, I'd think of selling my good old ride!

Hopefully, my machines would have the pleasure of being touched by you.

            PS:
I am new to the xBhp and have read lots about your machines in the last few days. I respect your commitment & dedication towards developing the Indian biking scenario! Wish you all the luck for your endeavors!

No ECU for the karizma. The Karizma ZMR does not have any market. It does not justify the development cost and time.
Instead there are a lot of hardware upgrades for the karizma.

Agree with you that ZMR does not have a market and also that most of the bike might still be under warranty.
But what about the ZMA R. Would it still not be feasible???

Considering the KarizmaZMR is a long stroke motor at 66.2mm, its not advisable to make it rev any higher and a CDI upgrade on a karizma is not gonna give you any leaps in performance. In an injection system, you can upgrade the entire fuelling and ignition control, but here only ignition change alone cant do wonders.

                            Query

                            Hi Joel,
I am very interested in this particular modification and would love to have a big bore karizma.
I just had a few queries regarding this particular modification -
( You are indemnified from answering any questions that might require you to reveal any secretive methods hehe, but I would love to read them all the same!!)

                            1. You mentioned that you would provide the barrel, piston, gudgeon pin and the head gasket. Does that mean that this is a straight fit? The bore you mentioned is 1.5mm over stock so are you using a thinner sleeve after boring?

                            2. Does the case require any kind of modification to accommodate the bigger bore? Did you modify the ports to increase cooling efficiency?

                            3. Since it would be running a higher compression, would it cause a reduction in top speed? increase in head temperature? recommended use of higher octane fuel?

                            4. Does the timing chain develop slack and if it does does the chain tensioner take care of it without wearing out faster than normal?

                            5. Can we use stock gaskets for the barrel?

                            6. Is there any chance of the valves hitting the piston after expansion ?

                            7. Does the life of the valve stem seals get reduced due to increased compression ? If so, how many kms later was this noticed?

I do apologize if these are too many questions, but I am torn between my intense love for motorcycling and investing a coupla months salary...
                            I hope you understand...
Thanks in advance for your time and reply!!

Always make sure your chain is adjusted. - From experience.

The block is a straight bolt-on replacement and nothing else to be considered. Its as straight as that.
Valve guide wear has nothing to do with a bigbore block, or with increased compression. Valve train in independent from the block. That matters only when you have camshaft and other internals or even when revving higher.
All the factors have been considered with the bigbore kit. So all you need to do is plug, play and enjoy miles of performance.
