You know what, there is no place like India when it comes to riding a bike. I'm in the UK and the weather here sucks! Its either raining or too windy to just take your bike for a spin.. So just get on to our lowly 8.7 bhp lowly two wheels and make the most of riding there free as a biker should be!

It is funny how the disclaimer "this post meant no offence" always works the other way.
A simple psychological fact: Such disclaimers actually make people to look for something offensive in the post. And more often than not, they find it, even if it doesn't exist.
Disclaimer: This post meant no offence either.

I agree to your point ken Da, but today we see express highways are built up but still people use the other routes and with that the reckless driving causing danger to every pedestrian and 2 wheeler riders on the road..Originally posted by ken cool View PostA very simple rule will be brought into force and will be implemented the way it has been done in a lot of Expressways... they will ban 2 wheelers from using fast highways!
And secondly , if they built express highways all the smooth roads will go to the 4 wheelers than again we 2 wheelers are left with the potholes and other waste on the roads, again seeing the high performer bikes dying death without giving their best show

What you told regarding a bike which can do 600 Kms in a single day and secondly we talk about roads, the big problem is if tomorrow when we have both the things we have achieved something great but then the big question comes is how safe we 2 wheel riders are between those idiot cab drivers and the ruthless truck and volvo drivers who thing road is their pops property and can smash any1 whom they feel. I have seen many 2 wheelers smashing down on the pune kolhapur which is a simple straight 4 lane highway , i wonder whether the RTO is gonna make some strict rules for 2 wheeler drivers to save them from being crushing down by the cabbies

Ken Da,Originally posted by ken cool View PostOf course there is a lot to improve. And they will improve. If Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra can do it, UP and Bihar may take longer but industrial progress is inevitable. Else they will lag behind economically. Some day they will have to come out of their feudal mindset.

Sorry for pointing this out but "youth" is already plural and there is no word in english language called youths.Originally posted by Shanz View PostWe youths die in the flame of technology..but the fact is that even if its available only few can have it,only those who really love the feel of 2 burning wheels between their groin...

Surface isnt smooth enuf, slight up and down, riding a bike is like on a merry go round..
Villegers drive not only on the wrong lanes but also no the wrong sides where cars touch an avrege speed of 120kph!
Dead goats, dogs etc..what do this all show?
That meant we still have a load lot of things to improve!!

Great that you did Sir..Originally posted by ken cool View PostMaybe you should read some of the logs that I have written of having done nearly 700kms in 7 hours without the engine or rider or pillion having to huff and puff!
But in any part of India, specially U.P. Or Bihar??
Here in North India we have few 4 or 6 lanes..
And even those 4 or 6 laned roads are diverted every few kms!

My point is do we still have any roads on which a rider can go a good mile without deaccelerating for a second??
Or do we have any roads on which we can run our so called mini super bikes without crushing our heads into the pot holes, pets,or being the worst a Human being??
Do we??
No I Suppose!!

Yeah, yeah of course its MRF. Completed only the first test a couple of days ago(will post a pic of the tyres if it is ok by MRF). The final production tyre will take a few months at least.Originally posted by skyknight19 View Postso when is MRF ( if i am not wrong ) supposed to start the production of that tyre ??
The latest that I have heard is that the bike is due only in mid 2011.
The spec of the front tyre that i had posted earlier was wrong as the tyre is actually 110/70-17 not 100/80 which is coupled to a 3 inches wide rim with rear having a 4 inch rim with a 140/70 -17 tyre, which strongly suggests (along with a few more details of the bike and the tyre specs that I know but not supposed to disclose) that it may be a twin cylinder as they have stated a top speed of 180kmph.

Highways in India have developed a lot. One can actually ride at 100kmph for quite a considerable stretch. And further improvements are going on.Originally posted by Shanz View PostMy point is do we still have any roads on which a rider can go a good mile without deaccelerating for a second??

Or how many of us can own a 600cc or 1000cc superbikes??
One in a city??

Major mass is just satisfied with the rainbow stickers or the 100kmpl adds..
Any one who thinks big would in straight think of a CAR after owning a puny 125cc rather thinkin of a bike more powerfull than many cars..
Coz the die hard Indian mentality is "bike is bought once in life but we have to turn to petrol pumps every other day,so why take a headache"
So what we need is Efforts on every level, some change in mentallity some melting dilemmas..
But now slowly and gradually the winds changing, the tables are turning..
And you kno what this new sound of turning clocks is really melodious, this new winds really feels gr8 deep in the Soul!

so when is MRF ( if i am not wrong ) supposed to start the production of that tyre ??Originally posted by Rajkumar11 View PostYou got me wrong. I am only testing the tyres meant for the bike not the bike itself. I have no clue as to the exact specs of the bike except what was already mentioned in my previous post. Just a long shot ,the bike may resemble the CB250 Twister made for the Brazalian market. Check out the link below.
