    I would say:

its not about irresponsibility, its about intellect of inner self.

I have always been a responsible rider, right from my childhood. I learnt to ride Luna even before I can balance a bicycle.

When I ride on highways with my Avenger 200, its not about showing off or riding fast (I am 30, with two kids). Its about thinking about myself, my loved ones, evaluations (not business but the inner self), appreciating and touching nature and romancing with tarmac and thoughts.

In short, you cant define what you love about biking, but you immediately know it when you are there.

But surprisingly most of the persons riding on the same tarmac cant feel this calmness and waves of thoughts and emotions, which we go through during rides and thus we are bikers.

Hence the differentiators are the emotions, sensitivity and intellectuality and not the BIKES we ride.

To me being a 'biker' is something wonderful...

When I used to ride my Zing to office and waited on the signal. I used to kind of just twist the throttle and quickly accelarate off the blocks even before the Pulsars and splendors had a chance to shift into second. The bikes then overtook me in a bit. I used to then stop on the side...and kiss her and talk and thank her for keeping me up...though she wasnt powerful enough. I used to talk to her all the while, well that to me is a biker...
Now when I have the Hunk and I ride all the way to office almost 25 kms, I know I feel one with the machine.

It doesnt matter what you ride...what matters is how you ride it and the emotions you attach.
That to me is the definition of a biker...

To me, as a motorcycle enthusiast, I tend to appreciate the discipline of raw physics as applied. It is the best form of mental as well as physical challenge. The cleaner is our conception of newtonian physics, the greater is our potential as good motorcyclists.

Also apart from this point is the relaxation that the stimulating dynamic condition induces in us.

                  Nice write up guys!!

Biking is really undefinable to me. When I ride my Bike, I can feel its awesome thunderous power. I understand it and it understood me.

A rider's power comes from within, its not what you ride its how much you know about your and your partner's (bike) flexibility and your limits. If you know your -veness and your +veness you can do anything you wish for. Just think and its within your reach and capability.

Biker.. hard to define: When you feel the fuel running through your veins, and the tank contains blood, you are the bike, n the bike is you.. then you become a biker I guess.. Atleast for me

I would say many of us must have done this... I am one of them. In school, I used to take my dad's scooter just to show off, do wheelies n stuff on my friends yamaha YBX. In college, rev my rx-100 even more than the limit on 1st n 2nd gear just to seek attention with that kracking sound. But now, I have grown as a biker and know what an actual biker means. I have evolved as a responsible rider and inspire and ask people for riding safe. I am proud to say that I have inspired almost 5-6 people who never used to wear helmets while riding, but after watching me ride with full gears, talk about my roadtrips, safe riding and Xbhp, they actually got inspired and have bought the safety gears and now they are spreading the art of safe riding and what an actual biker means.

A off topic which i came goggling and here you go, a clear difference between friends and biker friends

                            FRIENDS VS. BIKER FRIENDS

                            FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
BIKER FRIENDS: Are the reason you have no food.

                            FRIENDS: Will say "hello".
BIKER FRIENDS: Will give you a big hug and a kiss.

FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs.
BIKER FRIENDS: Call your parents mom and dad.

FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
                            BIKER FRIENDS: Cry with you.

FRIENDS: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
BIKER FRIENDS: Will spend hours there, talking, laughing and just being together.

FRIENDS: Borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back.
BIKER FRIENDS: Keep your stuff so long they forget it's yours.

FRIENDS: Know a few things about you.
BIKER FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.

FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing.
BIKER FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds' ••• that left you.

FRIENDS: Would knock on your door.
BIKER FRIENDS: Walk right in and say, "I'm home!".

                            FRIENDS: Are for a while.
                            BIKER FRIENDS: Are for life.

This is nice, like the rest of your write-up, and probably applies to many other aspects of life. I can't understand what exactly people are trying to say by "been there, done that"!? If it is that they are fishing for praise, then, as the saying goes, modesty is the only sure bait...
