Re: KARIZMA Cold Start issue.
Six to eight months and you did not do anything about it? Maybe you ride less distances or do not find much use of your bike dude. I am curious to know as to who suggested to change the CDI for this issue?Originally posted by karizmaJ View PostHi bro,
Even my bike has an issue, but its not on cold start. It is on heat up. When I go to some traffic area, where gear shift is between 1st n 2nd only, the engine gets heat up n it stops in the middle, and on cooling it for 5-10 min, it again starts up. This issue has started around six to eight months back.
i have even changed the CDI for this but still facing the issue, and its really embarassing.
A few days back I opened the carburetor myself n found some wax kind of gel at the base, is it because of that or the air filter issue?
Please guide me on this , what might be the problem.
Does your bike also turn off when you put it on side stand for sometime while idling and then take off?My DIY(s) - Sprocket bearing change | Paint job | Custom speedo dial
Getting angry at somebody is the same as getting angry with a bike that just won't go. You should stop and start thinking.
A good mechanic will let you watch even without charging you for it. |
It is funny to know that we've been imitated and copied so well and surprising when we notice our mistakes are copied as well.

Re: KARIZMA Cold Start issue.
well I go to city area very less frequently, I asked many mechs but no one had any solid justification. n it does not have anything to do with side stand....rest it runs very fine....
but if it is hot, then it feels like the petrol supply has stopped n it starts jerking.

Re: KARIZMA Cold Start issue.
Please read the question properly. The bike turning off after taking off the side stand when idle is one of the symptoms when the carb tuning is bad. I had this issue on my Pulsar. Once the air lock was released from the carb, the issue vanished.Originally posted by karizmaJ View Postit does not have anything to do with side stand....
To me, looks like the AFR setting is lean in the carb.
BTW, when was the last time you had the carb, spark plugs and air filter cleaned? My DIY(s) - Sprocket bearing change | Paint job | Custom speedo dial

Re: KARIZMA Cold Start issue.
You need to remove the shield to gain access to air filter element.Originally posted by karizmaJ View PostIt may be because of what you are saying...Actually I had asked mechanic to clean up carb, but, not sure whether he did it or not. Carb I have seen in the bike, but, where is the Air filter in that section? My DIY(s) - Sprocket bearing change | Paint job | Custom speedo dial
