  • Pulsar150 2005, Not as fast?

    Bike: Pulsar 150 Dts-i '05
    Kms done: 43000

    I recently put my bike through some major service and replacement regimen...

    I've replaced the Clutch, timing chain, sprockets and air filter to name a few.

    After the service I can feel the improvement in torque delivered to the wheel owing to the new clutch. The problem is that I feel like the bike revs higher than it should. In other words, it feels like I'm not going fast enough for a 5000 rpm. This maybe because during the time my bike was being serviced, I was riding an Apache 150.

    If anyone could post the speedo reading on 5th gear for 4000, 5000, 6000 and 7000 rpms respectively, it would help me verify my doubts.

    Thanks guys.

          yes those are relation between speed and rpm all @ 5 th gear. I donno whether this will be same even if your bike was in stock condition as there are some changes in the sprockets and gearbox between p150 [your version] & ug3. It would be better if you post the same relation of your bike and let our experts answer. Also post the stock sprocket set Front Teeth/ Rear Teeth .

          Just for info did you put in the same clutch plates & sprocket set as specified for your bike. Is your bike ug2 ?

            First of all... Thanks a lot Pabi for the effort, I appreciate it bro...
            I'm also glad to know that there's nothing wrong with my bike. It's doing the exact same speedo readings as your post.

            I also agree that different upgrades of the P150 have different speedo readings due to the gearing variations carried out on the bike over every upgrade...

            Thanks a ton again Pabi!!

                  @winzeee

                  Changed them recently to stock spec... I find them most suited for regular commute, street race sometimes and occasional corner carving (I take great caution of the road quality).
