  • [Help]: Lost my DL

I've lost my Driving License long back and due to my college I'm not getting any time to visit the authority to get it remade. due to college.. When ever I have a holiday i.e 2nd Saturdays the Authority is closed.. I've done a FIR and I have a copy of NCR, I have no issues while driving in Delhi itself.. but my friends were planning a ride to a far area like Jaipur or Nanital.. I wanted to know if NCR would work there also, Can I face any problem?

Looks like you've time for everything else in life other than obtaining a copy of DL!!!

Anyways, approach a reliable driving school & they should be able to suggest you the procedure & help you obtain one.

Sad to hear about the loss. But I'm surprised you've been riding without one for so long, against rules.

Do you have your DL number? In that case, you wouldn't need to get a fresh one made. Just seek for a duplicate DL.

Why don't you send across a friend, or relative to check the procedure.
I think an authorisation letter, along with the duly filled in application forms (as required) should suffice to issue a duplicate DL in your physical absence.

Or, go tho one of those driving schools. They will overcharge, but the job will get done.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

I went to a Driving School nearby my house and they're ready to help me out in order to get a duplicate license without me doing any footwork for a little charge

The little charge is worth it.. it will normally take 4 to 6 months to get it ,and the procedures are many and time consuming.
