Kiran TVS is near Gopalpuram PS on MG Road, that is the road from Paradise to Tankbund. Look for it near KFC. It is one of the oldest dealers of TVS (Suzuki) in Secunderabad.

Do we get Petronas sprinta4t 5000 in hyderabad ? Has anyone use the shell range of engine oils in your RTR.Any feedback on that?

The dhak sound used to come on my pulsar both from the front end as well as the rear end.. The cone set had worn out so when the front wheel went through a pothole, there'd be a loud dhak sound.The worn out cone set leads to play in the handle T hence the sound. When the rear wheel went through a pothole same dhak sound. as if my bike had no shock absorbers at all.. The swing arm bushes had worn out which develops play at the pivot point of the swingarm. That leads to the dhak sound.
Got both replaced today. Now my bike has shock absorbers...


I don't think your suspension is faulty..your bike may have a prob just like mine. The way to check is, when rolling at speeds of 10 or lesser, try heavy front braking. If you hear some kat sound near the handle pivot then your cone set is gone. Put your bike on the center stand and try to see if the wheel moves sideways..if it does then your swing arm and/or wheel hub bushes are gone...

Getting these checked makes more sense than getting a brand new suspension kit.

About the chain sprocket, use it till you can.

The misfiring, change spark plugs[which are supposed to be changed at 10k kms]
and re tune the carb.

If your battery is 3 or more than 3 years old then its safe to assume your battery is probably dead...topping up the electrolyte will help momentarily.replacing is the only option..

Showroom is at MG road just beside ICICI bank after KFC. Just go a little further, u come across a signal, take a left and procced some 200mtrs you find a Saibaba temple towards your left, there would be a lane beside it. Just go inside it and u'll find the service centre.

They do stock lot of spares. never had any problem with the spares execpt for the RTR 180 mud guard and now the Chain sprocket kit.




AFAIk, its not available now. KP (hydbiker) used to stock it with him. But i think he used all of the cans now.

Guys anyone knows the warranty on the stock battery . I dont think i got any warranty card separately with the manual.

Edit : Plonked in a new Amaron 9AH MF battery with 5 yrs warranty.One part of the tension relieved.

Base plate changed.leak arrested.spark plug changed. Oil changed to shell advance 4t. Babe's gettin smoother ,a few more steps away to bring back the virgin beauty.
