Not it will not change the rake angle, it will change the horizontal profile of the bike like i said, it will lean more forward.
And that will make the handling for front heavy?

i am so keen on this mod,

while closely watching the part numbers i feel replacing the handle crown plate of R15 with one from FZ will do the trick. both the plates looks complementary except the fitting on the FZ is for a conventional handle bar.

Handle bar adjustment for yamaha r15

Hey Guys , I was just wondering if I adjust handle bars more towards outside i.e more straight or you can say perpendicular, will it improve me on leaning it more effieciently.

I think that clip ons of R15 is more tilted inwards compared to other sports bike like Ducati.

Can anyone throw some light in this. FYI I am new in Xbhp so want support in using Xbhp as well.

        Thanks
        Naveed

AFAIK,you just have to loosen the bolt on the clip-on,adjust to your needs and then tight it back.
But i dont think you can straighten it out completely.

Can you give a pic showing which nuts are to be loosened up in order to loosen up the clip on??

You can put the dukes handle bar so that you have the comfort of naked and the full faired looks.

Recently I saw a video in which the handle bar of rc is replaced with r15 clip ons.so I want to know whether it affects bikes riding and whether it is good

I installed these aluminium custom fork nuts they are very useful and have no backpain. The riding position is very comfortable nowClick image for larger version

Re: Raising Handle bar height in R15

I also faced back pain while riding my cbr250. I counter fitted Apache rtr200s clip ons. Its direct fit. But we need to change the clutch cable to the unicorn clutch cables and fit after market wind shield. The riding position now is very comfortable and you can easily do long distance rides with out any back pain. Please pm me if you guys have any doubt about this mod. I am extremely happy with the results.

So how's your experience with them? People say that the handle lock might not work after this, also can you tell me where can i get them? You might have just saved my wrists and back.

The handle lock will work fine no need to worry. I custom made this one for 3000

well if you raise r15 handle bar it wont look good beleive me and you will frequently need to change the calutch wire and accelerator wire ! as there will be high tension in wires including break oil gauge... so i suggest not to do it
if u really want to do it ... then i suggest installing a heavy t shaped claim in the previous handle bar.. which you can get done from the leth machine workshop
