Loosely im guessing a replacement of the wiring harness and recitifier etc. Also you will have to check whats the power output of the magneto on both bikes, and whether they match. Further the ignition and cdi will have to be sorted out.

Get your hands on wiring diagrams of both bikes and then it will be easier to sort it out.

p 200 and p 180 s magneto are same and simple change of magneto+rectifier will do the job,.this will be safest as all oem parts involved. i also converted my p 180 ug 2 to dc some time back,thanks to xbhp man.though u cant exactly follow my mod as you have a stupid(some say intelligent) bcu unit!!!
so i think changing to ug 4 rectifire is the best option.............

Dude, Shree'd already given the link for DC conversion, but he's having very little awareness in this. So no idea how to help

Here we are discussing the possible ways that can be tackled, like the way u've sorted out the DC conversion. But u should've some awareness and interest in DIY else, its going to be a head ache. U had both of this than any others so we were also got in full swing and that chemistry worked. thats it.

So all i want to do for this mod is

1. Get the pulsar 180 UG4 coil pack and rectifier
2. Give them to mechanic and tell him to replace my Pulsar 200 coil pack and rectifier
with UG4's

Right?

Yes right. Here you might ve to change the wiring harness as well and it will prove bit expensive (infact too much).

1.picture of your existing rectifier, its below the seat.
2.picture of magneto,its under left of the engine cover ,u have to open the cover with t wrench.
3.a circuit diagram of your service manual.

Here is the magneto

I jammed my neutral sensing wire when putting back the cover of magneto

Finally did a patch to that green wire and taped it. Hope it will last long

I couldn't find the wiring diagram for my pulsar 200

Can any one post it here pls?

What do you think about this? will UG4's rectifier and magneto do the job?

you mean the harness is expensive than the coil plate or rectifier?

dude,the first picture is not a rectifier ,its a cdi unit which controls the speark plugs.

the rectifier is aluminium cased,look out for it.
the magneto is seemed to be same to pulsar 10 ug 3,i personally not seen the magneto of ug 4 s,but it should be same.if its same then a rectifier change will do the job,no magneto change then.

wiring harness is the jungle of original company made wires
