What does it look like and where exactly can it be found on the Unicorn? Someone had advised me to get those too...but I wasn't sure what that was and where to find it..Originally posted by Honda_CBF View PostI'm planning to put unicorn's handle rubber bushes to further reduce the vibes. It is the thing that pops out of the corners of the handle (I mean where the handle bar weight is present on bikes like Pulsar) ?Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

No its not the handle bar weight, we have them.
Rubber bushes sits where the handle joins the steering assembly, just above the cone set.
Try asking Honda spare part dealer.
My city's dealer don't have it, he says he has placed order for same & waiting for the delivery.

Okay bro...let me know if you find it. If it helps reduce vibrations further, I can consider getting it too...Originally posted by Honda_CBF View PostNo its not the handle bar weight, we have them.

Also let me know how much it costs if you find it and how we can install it..
I don't understand why Honda doesn't provide all these things as stock...they are providing an engine cowl these days which is absolutely useless and not providing the essential parts like a proper size sprocket and the handle bar rubbers...

I have been telling you to do that. You just ignored it.Originally posted by cmahajan View PostWhat does it look like and where exactly can it be found on the Unicorn? Someone had advised me to get those too...but I wasn't sure what that was and where to find it..

I didn't just ignore it..I am still confused what you guys mean by the handle bar rubbers...Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostI have been telling you to do that. You just ignored it.
I even asked you what they are in my previous posts but you didn't reply to it...I had asked you to post pictures if possible...

Ya, a photo will be really helpful.
By the way what does it cost?

I will post the picture tomorrow. Have to change the whole mount setup and replace it with Unicorn's setup. It would cost somewhere around 450 bucks.Originally posted by Honda_CBF View PostYa, a photo will be really helpful.

One small suggestion:
add cushion to everywhere your body touches
> go for handle bar grips... you will have to manage the extra thickness that comes under your palm
> add cushions to your leg holder
> add cushions to the seat...
Get a guy dealing with stiching bags or doing cushioning works, tell that you need less vibrations to be felt on the body, ask him to cushion the seats well (will increase rider and pillion height) , but without spoiling the 'seat design', then the leg holders and the handle grips too, ask him whether he can make it one of a size suitable to you, or buy one and give it to him and tell him to cushion that too, mention the maximum thickness you can cope up with. Dont forget the pillion foot rests... and tel him to add cushion inside b/w the holder and the outer hard rubber part, go for a hard similar material on the outer side, it should hold n give grip to the foot.
I think you will feel the difference...
make sure you dont spoil the design of seat and foot rests. it can spoil riding position and leg support.Presence of MIND and self CONFIDENCE is the primary aspect You need to be on road, not what brand your riding gears are.
If you lack these two then DONT

Same here man..it's better to live with the vibes than spend 450 bucks...if Honda engineers are stupid enough to not realize how much the bike vibrates, we can't help ourselves after having bought their product..Originally posted by Honda_CBF View Post450 bucks!! I guess I should have gone for the P135 or the Yamaha SZX in the first place...at least they wouldn't vibrate like hell above 60 Kmph. (I am no performance biker or a stuntman..all I ask is a smooth and steady daily ride to office and the Stunner doesn't quite deliver)
I believed that Honda would at least provide good after sales service but my recent experiences with HASS have not been good at all..they are a bunch of stupid people...
I would definitely not recommend the Stunner to any of my friends...

I did not check how much the Stunner carburetor version vibrates, but the Stunner FI vibrates very less. I have rode it for 4k kms and I was all happy.Originally posted by cmahajan View PostSame here man..it's better to live with the vibes than spend 450 bucks...if Honda engineers are stupid enough to not realize how much the bike vibrates, we can't help ourselves after having bought their product..

Stunner is made for city with quick acceleration. You could have done a proper test ride and consultation before deciding on this bike. Its of no use venting your ire on manufacturers. If you feel the vibrations are too much and irritate you, change of rear sprocket and handlebar rubbers minimizes them well. You will feel less vibrations at 60 kmph speeds. Do not ride the bike with frustration all the time.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Dude, I have already changed the front sprocket which has helped me reduce the vibrations to some extent but still the bike is not quite as smooth as I would expect. I owned a Passion Plus in the past which I rode for about 20,000 Km. Even that 100cc bike was smooth at the 60 Kmph mark.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostI did not check how much the Stunner carburetor version vibrates, but the Stunner FI vibrates very less. I have never intended to do speeds of more than 60-70 under normal riding. The point is, I can do all the mods you are suggesting (it's not that I don't have the money to do those) but why can't the Honda engineers realize that this is a serious drawback of their bike which needs to be addressed. Just think about the people who are not as enlightened as us (Xbhpians). Isn't this cheating by Honda for the people who spend their hard earned money and go by the Honda brand name?
PS: I do not ride the bike with frustration all the time. I ride at around 50-55 mark where the bike does not vibrate noticeably.Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

There are so many things that we like the manufacturers to do, but they turn a blind eye on us. Honda is one of them. You already have the bike, just try to make it as joyful as possible.Originally posted by cmahajan View PostDude, I have already changed the front sprocket which has helped me reduce the vibrations to some extent but still the bike is not quite as smooth as I would expect. Changing the front sprocket may put burden on the crank than the rear sprocket. What ever you do, you will not achieve vibration less as a Passion.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Ya, you are right. No matter what I do, the vibrations will never go to zero. I will consider selling the bike off sometime in the future..Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostThere are so many things that we like the manufacturers to do, but they turn a blind eye on us. Will get a naked bike then which will not vibrate
For now, I'm done complaining and will not be looking at any more mods to the bike..Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)
