Thanks for all your help!! I took my bike to the Hero Honda Authorised Service Center and asked them to change the spark plug and air filter.
sad thing is i expected this suggestion to come from them. All said and done by bike is back and rocking...love it.

Guys help!
I ve recently started facing a pretty similar problem on my 2005 ZMA. The bike seems to be struggling a bit to rev up and acceleration is not as before. Then it will not start up at signals once in a while. Once i remove the fuel cap and put it on, it starts up. Acceleration is also crisp. I asked my local mech and he told the fuel cap is the problem and we got to change it. What could be the problem? Please advise..We are miles away from the routine.
