  • Looking for a good quality 7" Round headlight

    Dear Friends,
My Achiever has round headlight and it found broken in at a parking lot, it has a lengthy crack and makes weird noise while riding...
    1. HH says 30 days to ship it (need to buy whole assembly @ Rs.750). Super stockist is not even aware of round light on Achiever !!
    2. Old Pulsar headlight assy is a straight fit, but can't accommodate Achiever's Halogen bulb.
    3. Can I get RD350's headlight anywhere in B'lore ?
    4. Where can I get aftermarket round headlight (that can hold Halogen) in B'lore ?

The picture here is when my achiever was brand new !! Any help/suggestion welcome !!

What is the bulb type? If it is standard H4 then you can use Autopal seal beams. Best beam throw and best quality. Metal reflector and glass lens.

i don't understand why people approach the showrooms first.
Anyways try any where in JC road you should be able to get a hold on the HH that you are looking for. Is it only the glass or the complete assembly that you are looking for.

MINDA or LUMAX are the most probable suppliers. Just ask any local shop and you should be able to get a hold of the parts.

Asif, Thanks for responding to my query, actually it's just glass (to be precise it's fibre plastic) what I am looking for. This weekend I will go to Shivajinagar & JC road to get some thing and I hope I find one that would fit my achiever. HH says full assembly is to be ordered and would take 1-2 months for delivery, I am not surprised as my kind of model is very rare on road and in B'lore I haven't seen one except mine ! I found some local makes in few shops and the fibre gets yellowish after 6months or so, so I don't want to fit such ones.
I will also try to find out LUMAX supplier in B'lore....In worst case I may consider putting Bullet's head lamp which holds Halogen.
          Thanks !

Pavan, It's halogen 35/35W, I will try and see if I can use AUTOPAL seal beams, BTW stock one was damn good, better than Unicorn/Xtreme. First I will look for fibre plastic and then I will explore a neat round headlight (Yamaha/RE/Bajaj whatever)...Thanks

I am in the same boat. I have a Classic Fiero and in a recent fall, the Dome broke. Contemplating a Round head light, but not sure which one. Even considering the Yamaha FZ head light.

Have you thought of the Bajaj Avenger headlight? It has an amazing throw.

Keep us updated on what you find in the Mecca of spares - JC Road.

Dont go for P150's h/l -it has worse spread.

See if the Tata Ace's h/l (clear lens) is a direct fit. Else go for amby/gypsy/omni/fiero ones.

This is a better option and would fit the bike like stock also.

FZs cost ~2.5K, cost is not a factor but it should gel well with my Achiever...Bajaj Avenger has central fit, my achiever fits headlamp at two side points...
I will let you know what happens this w/e...

I didn't know this....anyways P150 assembly costs same as Achiever, I would prefer HH spare...

I'll see how much classic fiero H/L assy costs, that has good chrome as well....I love chrome
How can I fit Omni/gypsy ? will they have fitting points that can match achiever's ?

It is fitted to the chrome using clips.
