Guys, Thanks for all your responses, I went to HH super stockist in CKC garden on sat evening and the shop was about to get closed. I was told by the incharge that Achiever round H/L assy are available and costs Rs.460/- only. He asked me to come next working day as the computer was shut down for maintainence. Another dealer wrongly quoted for trapezoidal H/L assy as Rs.750/-. So I will go for genuine HH spare.
    FYI,
    1. CD Dawn (New) H/L is direct fit and has same part number and has halogen bulb !
    2. After market (low quality H/L assy compared to HH) are priced above HH spares ! Example FIEM H/L is priced Rs.544/- and has poor quality finish and poor spread as well.
    3. I could not get glass alone anywhere in JC road.
    4. Personally I liked TB full chrome plated H/L assy., any idea how much that would cost ?

I know about the amby/gypsy ones - they are less than 200 bucks.

My Achiever has round headlight and it found broken in at a parking lot, it has a lengthy crack and makes weird noise while riding...
                    1. HH says 30 days to ship it (need to buy whole assembly @ Rs.750). Super stockist is not even aware of round light on Achiever !!
                    2. Old Pulsar headlight assy is a straight fit, but can't accommodate Achiever's Halogen bulb.
                    3. Can I get RD350's headlight anywhere in B'lore ?
                    4. Where can I get aftermarket round headlight (that can hold Halogen) in B'lore ?

The picture here is when my achiever was brand new !! Any help/suggestion welcome !!
                    Hi
I will tell you the setup of what to do
                    1) Take Pulsar round headlight dome and headlight rim only(Dont purchase the Pulsar headlight)
2)Take Tata Ace round headlight assembly 7"
3)Fit the Tata Ace headlight into pulsar headlight rim
                    4) Now you can fit your halogen bulb to this headlight

This will also increase your headlight brightness since Tata Ace reflectors are good

Also you can do one thing
If you can get TVS Fiero FX round headlight assembly it will be very good
Because TVS Fiero FX has the best beam in round headlight for two wheelers
No bike can match that beam

                      see in hero honda website.

I tested CD Dawn headlight beam but I didnt find this better than a Fiero FX.
Beam throw of CD Dawn new MFR is bright but is very narrow. whereas Beam throw of TVS Fiero FX round headlight is spread through and clear view.

Before mofifying my bike for a 60/55 watts bulb
I was using this Fiero FX headlight for my TVS Victor GLX and believe me,with a 35/35 watts Osram bulb(OEM comes with that headlight assembly) I travelled 200 kms at night whereas with a CD dawn headlight it was difficult for me to travel even 6 kms at night. The next day I disposed it away and brought Fiero FX headlight.
Later due to 60/55 watts Philips Xtreme power bulb, this Fiero Reflector turned black hence shifted to Tata Ace reflector fitted in a Pulsar round headlight assembly but since you want to use 35 watts halogen bulb hence Fiero FX headlight is good for you.
Hence I dont suggest Hero Honda Dawn MFR headlight assembly
Either go for TVS Fiero FX headlight assembly
or go for Tata Ace headlight fitted in Pulsar round headlight assembly(I am using it since 2 years and amazing beam with Philips Xtreme power 60/55 watts bulb)
Also the 35 watts/60watts/100 watts halogen bulb fits fine in Tata Ace round headlight.
So if you want to try something different, you can do this also.
I dont think that you will get any problems in doing so
You have to just purchase a Round dome of Pulsar and a headlight rim of Pulsar and get the Tata ace reflectors fitted in that rim with the clips and just mount that headlight on your bike
                      thats it

I was quoted 450 Rs for the Fiero FX ( whole headlight assembly ) here in kolkata and I can get that too . Is it really better than the CD/Achiever's or others ?
Edit : ok , didn't see your last post in time pankaj'jee , I see that you speak from experience ... thanks for the info .

Pinaki Both are similar according to me, even if you closely see reflector patterns on both, they are similar. At Rs.450/- full chrome H/L is a neat buy. But I am not sure about spread difference, I feel my Achiever's spread is adequate even for speeds of 80kmph in nights with occasional thumbing of 'pass' light ! I tried a lot to get Fiero H/L in B'lore I couldn't get one.

                            Vipin
Fiero FX dome is close to 8 inches in diameter.
Actually TVS Fiero FX and Star DLX are the biggest round headlight in any two wheeler in India
whereas CD Dawn MFR is 7 inch (nearly one inch less that Fiero FX and Star DLX)
Out of these two bikes,Star DLX doesnt support Halogen bulb hence only Fiero FX
Thus even though their reflector patterns are same still Fiero FX has got the extra one inch diameter advantage hence good beam spread

Also if you have to try diffetent, the also you can try a Tata Ace headlight reflector in Pulsar round dome.
                            any round headlight(7 inches) of car/jeep/truck like Ambassador/Mahindra Jeep/Tata Ace/Ashok Leyland/new Bullet classic350 or 500 cc
these round headlights fit perfectly in Pulsar round headlight dome but tata ace reflectors are brightest of all
And there is no problem in getting these headlights from anywhere and Pulsar round dome and headlight rim and clips are available anywhere
Also you can fit easily the headlight in the rim without any problem
and also if your headlight is 7 inches, then you dont require a pulsar dome.
The pulsar headlight rim will be a straight fit in your Achiever's round dome(if it is 7 inches)
Hence no waiting for a month
