@OP - clean the fuel cap with petrol/kerosene. The breather inlet seems to be choked..
So is the only solution, opening the tank every time?
My friends new HUNK has this problem, every time its parked under the sun.

@Ranjith - Not the only solution. What needs to be done is, there should be a breather hole underneath the fuel cap. The breather hole is also protected by a rubber cap & in addition may be a cork too. The setup is kind of not so direct breather hole; just open up the rubber cap & enlarge the hole in the cork directly under the fuel cap & everything should fall in place.

      Tks @Pinaki

And Amit - Don't you remember I'd to constantly slow down during our Yercaud trip in 2010? I'd this issue seriously coming up.

@ pankaj - Glamour is available both in Fi & Carburetted versions .
@ Ranjith - Is this the PGMFi version we are discussing ? In any case the permanent solution is to dismantle the fuel stopper on the tank and clean it out nicely as Aargee said . Do not attempt it yourself as your bike is just new , go yell at the HeroHonda Service center manager and just make them do it , it's his job . It is already pretty stupid of them NOT to have known this simple thing in the first place , when you visited them . At this level of care and expertise , I'm damn scared to let them(HHASS) open my bikes carb or set my tappets .

i am facing this issue with my bike as well.... whenever i ride in higher rpms for 2-3 mins continuously ... my bike tends to take gaps as there is no fuel supply to the engine and it stalls and refuses to come to life even after successive cranking . This happens in Very hot conditions and even in Rains. What i do is i just open tank lid and shake the bike using thighs and i crank it comes to life as if nothing happened.

What could be the problem as opening tank lid in heavy rains is a bit risky business as water can enter the tank.

I need to get it rectified asap as i am planning a 3500kms ride next week. Please help.

              Clean your fuel tank
              Change A/F

I used to face similar problem and the one thing that worked for me - changing the fuel filter - the small one in the fuel tube that runs between the fuel tank and the carb - for the FI models.... to whereever it goes LOL

I had that problem in my KB and everytime I ripped her over 80kmpl, it wud just shutdown, I then had to open the fuel lid and then restart - bingo. Yes, we used to call it airlock.

If your bike has a fuel filter, check and make sure it is fitted in the correct direction(in , out) if not, you might try changing it with a same model or can try something different. For me, I tried one from the Kinetic Honda and that problem never occured again.

                My two cents.
