The geo cruise suck on wet surface, a friend installed it on his CBZ and had to get it removed, ask around in forum and you will know that geocruizer is not really that good, but in shoddy roads they act better, whereas highways when it rains its too bad!!

I am now experiencing the TVS tyres on my new SZR (just done 700km) and have been on one rainy ride and must say they are okay or atleast since I need to keep speed to max 50kmph till the run in completes. I am planning on installing MRF meteor or any other that fits my bike rim. Do you think going tubeless at back and keeping tube tyre at front is good thing?

CEAT Vertigo Sport 100/90-17 is a good choice.

Thanks, are these tubeless? Do you recommend change for the front tyre too?

So how was your saddlesore? Please post your update or link to the thread about the trip and bikes performance and any issues.

Re: Getting my Yamaha SZR SaddleSore ready

Hi guys, dont know if this thread is dead or not. But I was planning for a weekend trip say around 200-300 on my SZR. She is 1.5 years old and I have kept her serviced at regular intervals. There are few things I want to know before going out for this long ride.

              1. Is there is any things I need to do to my bike for a long trip, say change my engine oil etc. right now I use Yamalube semi-synthetic one.
              2. What are the things I need to carry with me for a long trip like this. And since I would be travelling with a pillion, do I need to change any specs of my bike. Everything is stock on her except the tires(Ceat Secura zoom 2.75-17 front and 100/90-17 Ceat Gripp rear tubed).
              3. Lastly for how long can I drive on this bike?

Since this is my first trip like this any tips/advices are very much welcome.

              Thanks

1)You need to check everything is fine or not.Change oil if its due.Tyre pressure also must be perfect.
2)Rain gear,Other riding gears, drinking water, energy bars if necessary etc.Keep rear tyre pressure a little high if you carry a pillion.
3)200-300km is nothing for a healthy modern bike.It all depends on you.I usually like to take a 5 min break at least in 100kms.
