The moment u make any alterations in your bike ur warranty is totally voided so dude i am sure these all the services which you would be going for will be paid and not the free onesOriginally posted by Rashid View PostHii All, I just Installed a Cosworth Conical Air filter in my Suzuki Slingshot plus,I used to be really pissed of its terrible initial pick-up and wasn't expecting any miracles from it but to my surprise the machine feels very peppy now and i'm very happy with its performance(i have no intention to go 100+ or go racing). But now i have a few doubts i hope knowledgeable people in xbhb will clarify for me.
1.I just fitted the air filter no carb tuning has been done(engine is heating up but not sure if it is abnormal),what size jet will be best for my bike?
2.How much does jetting cost and whats the fair price to pay the Mechanic?
3.I'm almost certain that my vehicles warranty is void but will the Service center refuse to Do periodic Service on my Vehicle? Or should i remove the Filter and Re-install the original Air filter before Taking the bike to service?
4.Is it okay to leave the Air-box open after installing the air filter?Does it cause additional mileage short?
Expecting your answers(especially for the 3rd one)

since u did it by yourself what i think is that there might be some problem with the coolant system of your bike do take some precautionay steps otherwise it will cause you heavy on your pocket.Originally posted by Rashid View PostSince i couldn't find a mechanic with enough spare time to do upjetting, i finally replaced cossworth with my stock filter:acceleration feels reduced but machine is very smooth up to 80 still my engine over heats any comments?

Guess its the crankcase breather or ventilation tube. The crank case breathes through this tube ,so it is connected to the air filter box to ensure filtered air into crank case. When the engine is running one can feel both vacuum and pressure.Originally posted by Rashid View Posti would be thankful if someone could explain what is in the marked portion of the first picture; If i keep my hand there and start engine i can feel air prressure on my hand
BTW which is that white pipe used?

thnks for your reply
So does it cause trouble if the crankcase breathing thingy gets unfiltered air??? the white pipe is just a pvc pipe used to connect the airfilter to the carbOriginally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostGuess its the crankcase breather or ventilation tube. The crank case breathes through this tube ,so it is connected to the air filter box to ensure filtered air into crank case. When the engine is running one can feel both vacuum and pressure.

Oil becomes dirty faster...Dirt in oil means???will flow through full engine parts.Originally posted by Rashid View Postdoes it cause trouble if the crankcase breathing thingy gets unfiltered air???

It pulls and pushes air to maintain a constant pressure inside the crank case.Originally posted by Rashid View PostI dont get it, i can feel it pushing out air not pulling it in,how can it cause dirty oil???Karizma Parts Manual - https://picasaweb.google.com/1010125...rizmaCatalogue
