  • Help needed regarding LED Strips for Motorcycles

Hey guys, can anyone help me out with LED Strips for motorcycles/cars. I am looking forward to purchase about 50 meters to 100 meters of the LED strips for an upcoming event. However the rate here in Shillong is too expensive and therefore require some help from the xbhpians from Delhi/Mumbai/Bangalore/Chennai/Pune/Kolkatta or others to find out the rate per 50 or 100 meters.

    1. All I need is a single colour LED strips of either blue, green or red colour.
    2. Should be waterproof, adhesive, able to cut into smaller length.
    3. Can be connected/joined.
    4. Should be able to connect to the bike's battery.

I have already seen the various suppliers from the net, however not satisfied with the information or have to wait for replies (which definitely will take long).
And if you have any other infos or suggestions, you are most welcomed to guide me.

    Regards,
    Jean Daniel

        Hi Jean,

I recently purchased a 1 meter long LED strip. I think it meets all your requirements, i.e. its water proof, has adhesive lining at the back, can be directly connected to any 12V battery and can be cut into smaller parts along lines marked after every 3 LEDs in the strip.

The 1m strip contains 57 LEDs. It cost me Rs225 per meter. The Nonwater proof strips were Rs125/m usable only indoors.

I bought it from a local electrical shop in Malleshwaram Bangalore and they had a nice variety in colours as well. But probably they do not deal in bulk orders such as yours. Also they stock the LEDs only during time of Diwali which is when I had bought them.

The most that I can do now is give you the address of that shop. Shop's name: Pipara, Between 6th and 7th cross, Sampige Road Malleshwaram, Bangalore. The next time I go there i'll enquire about the dealer from whom they take the strips and see if i get the info.

        Regards,
        Sid.

@ Above_all: Thanks, have seen them, but they seems very expensive as compared to the local market rate i.e. Rs. 65/- per strip of 1ft each. However, i m looking for about 2ft and that the power consumption should be lesser since I have been thinking of fixing it up in the suit for BBoying guys. So probably the strips should be able to run on Pencil batteries
Thanks for the links, was helpful in the research.

@plasmabhai: sure, thanks buddy for the info. Would be glad if I could get the contact number.

@Pinaki: that would be very nice of you sirjee
