Which record are you talking about?
Is it Guinness books of records or something like that?
They have a lot of stringent rules, and unlike IBA, you need to inform them in advance that you are attempting the GQ, they will give you a map and check points and stuff etc,... I hope you checked all these things

speed thrills but kills if you dont have skills

        Hero Honda PGM-FI service manual:

A real biker rides with other bikers,
        not against them...

          hi thanks for replying
it was from bhubaneswar to chennai
          actually took u-turn before chennai

the same i am concerned about
          bihar roads during night
but getting assurances that it will be ok
better than what we generally hear.....

If you're poorest among the poor, then opt for CBR 250R; standard will be Ninja 250R & anything above it is sure to succeed.

The Ninja250 should be your best bet. CBR250R shouldn't be bad either.

I hope you are prepared to meet all the requirements of limca book of world record.
Wait for the 5th generation pulsar and then consider cbr 250 also.
@Others:Isnt an Enfield 500 also good for this?

dude, you simply need to go for the pulsar 220.

if you dont have problems with the budget, then get the CBR250. Royal enfields will not hold up that long. there is a very high chance of an engine seizure...!

your best bet would be a pulsar 220, or the CBR 250. the CBR 250 is your take for better comfort.
                          Why Biking?
Because all other sports need only one BALL!!

back to your original question on gq; buy a bike if you want to, but not specifically for gq; you're not going to gq everyday!!!

Any vehicle that is capable of running about 7000 kms should be able to do gq comfortably; to me its more of the rider than the ride; since you've done ss & bb, there should be nothing stopping you to do gq.

You'll be able to do about 600 kms everyday easily & keep aside about 11-12 days & this is all you need. Not a new bike!!! Ofcourse a reliable bike.
