Rear Brake in R15 V2.0
Hi friends,I brought a new R15 V2.0. few days back. I feel there is not enough stopping power in the rear brake. If i press rear brake speed is gradually decreasing but very slowly. What may be the reason? Can we adjust it? Because usually i use rear brake in signals.

The brakes take some time (brake applications) to 'break-in', and should be good in about 200-300kms of city usage. Moreover rear brakes aren't really meant to stop the bike.
Use of 70:30 ratio of front:rear brake is recommended.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

^^^^^ Agreed.
Keep your brake pads clean, any oil or residues will make it feel weak. Just wash and wipe with cold water and soft cloth.Originally posted by bhalan View PostHi friends,I brought a new R15 V2.0. few days back. I feel there is not enough stopping power in the rear brake. Brakes need to be applied with right pressure in the back : front should be 35:65 for quick stopping without loosing control. For smooth and slow stop anywhere from 50:50 or 40:60 applying pressure is recommended. There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.

Usually rear disc is meant for just slowing down vehicle and keep it stable, as giving too much braking force will lock the wheel. This is also the reason why its single cyl at the rear and twin in the front.
The Front brakes usually have a greater force than the rear.
Make sure you use the front properly and the rear will just be a supplement to it.
