I saw one tacho used by a mechanic , he touched its tip to magneto maybe and it have rpm in digital numbers , it costs something around 700rs , same piece is used in my college for measurement purpose , cant remember make though

Maybe you saw a UNI-T contact-less tachometers (laser) ?

It was a contact tacho actually , it had some wire dangling too , it had a small conical tip that he inserted to moving shaft for rpm reading

Someone had posted a picture of a Splendor with an old CBZ tachometer and fuel guage in the Splendor thread. Can we have some more details here.
