  • AFR Setting on Stunner

Guys, recently i got my bike's carb cleaned, and the mechanic lean tuned it. Till now I'm having no problem but even after running around 6km the heat is like I've done 10km. And after running 10km I'm unable to touch the oil sump even for one second which was possible earlier. I'm afraid it can cause overheating under highway use.
So can any one tell me what's the stock position of AFR screw?
    Thank in advance.

I think for most carburettors, the screw should be turned clockwise till it doesn't turn anymore. Then turn it anti-clockwise for one and a half turns. Then start the engine and check if the bike idles properly and turn it either directions till you are satisfied with it. But you might also want to check the Engine oil level. How many Kms has your bike clocked? A new engine might overheat in the beginning.

^^ can't veiw your photos.........it says private album............

anyways, go to your service center, tell them you want more pick-up and less mileage, they will tune it for rich mixture. problem solved.

and when he is doing it see for yourself, the locaation of screw and just for your own knowledge, ask him how many turns he is keeping it at.

tried that man, they say pick up is perfect and its not good to fiddle with carb but the spark plug is tan in colour....
And I'm having big time issues uploading images directly with the post. Trying to figure it out.

There's a screw on the other side of the carb which is most likely the AFR screw. I am not sure if it is easily accessible because I had seen that screw when the carb was out of the bike.

you mean one have remove the carb for tunning the carb... I think that's not true because engine needs to be running while tunning, right..?

Based on what you said, I also tried getting some more information about Stunner's carb. Here's a site that describes a similar carburetor: Constant Velocity carburetor . This is a picture of the carb (from that site) viewed from bottom with the float bowl removed:

The tube on the right side goes towards the engine's intake. Unfortunately, the AFR screw is positioned facing inwards towards the bike. You can feel the screw with your finger on the back of the carb, just below the tube that goes towards the engine. On my bike, it seems impossible to get to the screw unless there's a special tool for it

thanks for your inputs man, that was helpful. Anyways I'll try to reach AFR screw through the opposite (battery) side tomorrow. Don't know its possible or not but I'll try...
