    Without Lamps

Any comments and suggestions would be highly welcomed. Any folks in Gurgaon know of any good quality metal workers ? need to get a saddle bag support made to mitigate the risk of the saddles touching the tyres...

Hey bro.. hows your foot doing btw ? If you need the contact details for this guy PM me I will send it across to you.

    Hi,

I too need a fog lamp for my Thunderbird. Had a look on these lamps in Pudhupet and GP Road (Both this place are famous for Automobiles in chennai) but didnt make a purchase as I dont need a white light.

Do you have any ideas whether these lights available in yellow colour?.

Anybody used the below one? How much useful it is

      Re: Fog lamps

These should be available at truck spare parts shop easily.

But these consume a lots of power and i don't think stock bike can generate electricity for 2 of these.

About the issues with fog lamp switch, you can do two things, you can run the negative wire through the ignition and then add a switch so that it only lights up when the ignition is on. Another thing that can be done is that, you can connect it to the headlamp relay located under the seat, it prevents the headlamp coming on without the engine running. So you could wire it up there and add a switch, so it would only light up if the engine is running. This would solve the issue of people fiddling with your bike and draining the battery.

I hope the custom wiring harness was made with proper gauge of wires and waterproof 1/4" spade connectors were used.

My foot is good now, I had some fun days lying on the bed, felt like a king I'd surely PM you for his details, whenever I need such work done.

hey cleaner!! I want to ask you a very technical question. Can i install a 35w led projector headlamp on my avenger?? that is just replacing the original bulb with the led projector inside the headlamp housing. The avenger uses 55W lamps in the headlight.
the link for it is -

Avenger has AC headlamp so directly plonking in a HID/LED setup directly would not work. The wattage of bulb doesn't really matter but since it has AC headlamp system, LED or HID projectors would not work. The best thing to would e getting the coil rewinded in DC mode and use an Ape RR. BTW that LED projector would not provide you the light output you expect. I suggest you get the coil rewinded in DC mode and install a Philips XTreme Vision bulb and fit two LED fog lamps or you could get a ceramic holder with some thicker wire with a relay and plonk in a 100/90 or 85/80 H4 bulb (The latter in harder to find though).
          I am back!

            Re: Fog lamps

I want to install a Fog light to my thunderbird. I dont think white LED light would be looking good in combination with Yellow headlight (come with stock). So found the below one when searching online. This rated a power output as 55W so 55+55=110W. Will my battery able to supply energy to it? I came across a word called 'Cut Out Relay' What does this actually mean some kind of stabilizer like unit?

I dont use this lights on city ride only on highways. Just as a styling factor I am interested in.

running 55w x 2 fog lamps you are un necessary over loading the battery.
the safest bet is going for LED bead fog lamps. it might not lok same as yellow but it does work for functionality.
also hardly draws 20-22watts for a pair which won't cause any battery drain and over burden the electricals.

USB charger has been connected to ignition and not the battery so it would technically work only when the ignition is on and hence did not feel the need for a switch there. (unnecessary risk of forgetting to turn the switch off)

Bro this comes with a removable clamp. There is enough place between the handlebar and the brake oil reservoir for the clamp to go through.
