    Hi,

I have been using Pulsar 180 from 18 months and from last couple of months the engine is getting heating very quickly and i can hear that the engine is making more noise than earlier. I do change the oil every 1500 to 1800 km or less than 2 months. and i use indian oil unleaded petrol.

How many kms your P180 done so far?

      However, do check the following.
-Any issue with clutch like incorrect clutch setting resulting in clutch being engaged always, worn out clutch discs etc
      -Cleaning oil filter.

Might be engine Valve worn off,i had faced similar problem where normal dtsi engine sound changed almost like a old splendor sound, valves were the culprit

if u hear tick-tick noise from the engine when its hot, then its probably a loose tappet...ask the service guys to do tappet clearence!!
check the spark plug too...your bike may be running on lean mixture,it could cause heating up of the engine

its al due to lean mixture....ask ur mechanic to adjust the air screw......within 16000k there wont be any chance of valve damage.....dont hurt ur stock performance

Can you post pics of both the spark plug electrodes? Then we can tell you if its running lean or what..
Btw, most of the time svc people tune carb for mileage (i.e. Lean) but too much can be troublesome
And also mention the jobs performed at service.

                              DO this
                              1. Change oil to correct grade
                              2. change timing chain and tensioner
                              3. set valve clearance using feeler gauge.
                              4. tension drive chain to 1-1.5" slack.
                              5. Tune carb.
Carb Tuning made easy (Thanks Sibun !)
