    thanks rishi ....im 6 foot tall so height is not a concern for me .. the drive through inside my apartments in one kilometer long so i think learn there itself...

      ^^ Do go for the bike you love the most .. I went for cbr250r as my 1st bike just 6 months ago and i was not having the experience of bike as well as scooty ... But now enjoying the thrill of my bike... Nd go to youtube and type this "Smoother gear Changing, gear shifting on your
      motorbike" . watch this video you will learn a lot .

        Sorry for bumping in the thread like this, but my query is regarding this same question, I am also new to biking and have brought a Pl135 LS on Sunday.
        As it is said that the first 500-1000km are crucial for a engine as to how it will perform in future, is it not that a newbie won't handle the bike as a experienced one and hence the engine would not be 'moulded' as it should be.
        And another thing what are the precautions that a newbie like me should take so that the new bike keeps on the good performance it is meant to provide...
