      well your bike wont give the avg and the there will be petrol mark just below the cab

      That how me n mine friend has come to know about.

        refer the pic of float valve, you can see the black pointy rubber thing, its called nipple (i guess) this should stay pointy & should not stick to the carb body.
        Other end of the float valve has a small spring loaded metal piece, with the hubs around it (which makes it fit in the float) this part should fit to float without any free play (gaps). But should easily move vertically with the float & spring, so that it can control fuel flow.
        A bad float/fuel valve can cause poor or too much fuel flow. Can even cause fuel leakage, out of carb.
