Bypassing the bcu of pulsar ug4 for hid
Collapse

you had missed something as the same circuit is working properly in my puslar 180 ug4 since last year every negative should go to the bcu and every positive should come from the bcu double checkOriginally posted by sharmanup17 View PostYah i made circuit same as shown in diagram. When i tried it(install) in bike relay makes some sound but the bulb doesn't glow up.....
if anything is not working than simply use 2 diodes and connect it with the high beam and another one with the low beam wire from the bcu an then connect it with the hid ballast solenoid wire should be connected before the diode connection.
but the diode after sometime gives problem which is that the hid flickers like it is running on ac.Last edited by rprathin; 03-07-2013, 11:05 AM.Give your details help a biker stranded in your city.

I want to ask u about power supply from battery to ballast.as there are no connection for supply to ballast that is also neccessary part.
And sorry bro i dont know anything about this electric subject.....
Plz Tell me Is it happened due to hid coz the circuit is made same ditto as page 1 diagram n also double checked it..

every connection should go from this socket only see the imageOriginally posted by sharmanup17 View PostI want to ask u about power supply from battery to ballast.as there are no connection for supply to ballast that is also neccessary part.

in the circuit on page 1 where i had written "high beam wire from bcu" means that the high beam wire from this socket and also use negative from this socket only the black wire is negative and the other two wire are high or low you check them which is high or low.
do not connect any negative on chassis or any where else other than this socket negative wire.

yup! i have made connection of high/low beam and the negative too with H4 Headlight switch. i just want to ask u about the power supply to the ballast should be only from bike battery. but in circuit the hid ballast positive wire is connected with 87a port on relay means no battery power supply.Originally posted by rprathin View Postevery connection should go from this socket only see the image

the ballast positive should be connected to the 87a from both the relays. iam using some Chinese hid ballastOriginally posted by sharmanup17 View Post& Please tell me what HID Brand u r using in ur bike.....
to check the circuit is working or not you can use halogen bulb with that
just remove the ballast and instead of ballast use halogen bulb and then see if the bulb glows or not connect the single beam of bulb only instead of ballast. then use your high low beam switch see if the bulb glows in both the beams or not
if the bulb glows then ballast is the culprit if it does not glows then circuit is not made properly.
now tell the results.Last edited by rprathin; 03-07-2013, 06:47 PM.Give your details help a biker stranded in your city.

Re: Bypassing the bcu of pulsar ug4 for hid
from bcu only the wire which are low and high beam. If power would be given directly from the battery than hid won't work on stock switches.Originally posted by Sarvesh Savaikar View Postso there is no wire from battery to ballast ?? how the ballast will get power ??Last edited by rprathin; 10-26-2013, 01:29 PM.Give your details help a biker stranded in your city.

Re: Bypassing the bcu of pulsar ug4 for hid
ya dude....youu know what...today evening i searched everywhere in my city for SPDT relay but couldn't find anywhere . Is there any substitute for SPDT relay ?? & by the way what type of relay, that we get along with hid kit ??? secondly its not available online too...really confused man. do the SPDT relay have any different name ??
even shopkeepers showed me relays but those didn't had 87 a socket....it was horn relay with 85 , 86 , 30 n two 87 sockets.
i have attached image of relay which shopkeeper showed me ..please check
below two images are of HID relay which i got along with HID kit....these types of relay are also available with shopkeeper.

Re: Bypassing the bcu of pulsar ug4 for hid
actually we don't have roots dealer...i checked every possible shop but couldn't find for relay . can you do me one favor ? if i transfer cash in your account then you can buy for me & courier me ??
one more thing i wanted to ask you was....HID bulb has three wires right ?? one is solenoid ( High & Low beam ) that is to be connected to relay... & where the other two wires of hid bulb should be connected ??
