Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

        Tip:
Did you inspect the iron plates that exist between the clutch plates? If you find any friction marks on the iron plates then replace them. Make sure the new ones are not bent. Also get the clutch bell checked for too much free play and get the rubbers changed.
These things helped in reducing vibrations and pickup has also been improved on my Unicorn.
Get these things changed in front of you.

          hope this help

I am also a owner of hunk too, done 18k so far

1.All hunks have gear issues while its new.
2.At 5th Gear above 60Km/h vibes are normal for all Hunks
3.Try use Shell Mobile instead of wasting so much money.Even if you use Motul you will feel the clutch is easy like butter.
4.Dont go to HH service station, get the servicing done infornt of you even if you found any normal service centre.
5.What is the RPM when your bike is idle,it should not be more that 1500.

worn out piston or piston rings are also cause of high vibrations. check if your bike emits coloured smoke. also check how fast your engine oil goes down in terms of kms.
i guess there is problem either with clutch bell or with piston. do let me know at which rpm your engine starts vibrating in neutral.

              1. At what RPM do you upshift? Please mention for each gear.
              2. What is the mileage you're getting?
              3. When did you last change your oil?

AFAI can tell, the problem areas can be from the following areas:
              1. Clutch free play settings (considering you do not need to change your plates again)
              2. Clutch bell.
              3. Adulterated Engine Oil/Fake Engine Oil
              4. Quality of Petrol (residual gummy deposits, etc.)

                1) 13000
                2) Yes it was
                3) I just finished the 5th service a couple of weeks back and of course the oil changes were done on time, every time.

Sure thing. One of my mechanic said the same but, I didn't want to let them ruin the engine. I guess its high time I have to do this. Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot. I'm not gonna go to HH service station anymore those guys literally get on my last nerve. All they know is only arguing with the customers. The RPM when idle is 1200 but after a long spin it will automatically go upto 1800k.

It starts vibrating exactly at 4000 RPM. I guess its the clutch bell causes the vibration. I'll have a check and keep yall posted. Thanks a lot for your reply.

and the rest of the gears @ 4000RPM.

                        I'm getting 47kmpl

The last oil change was just a couple of weeks back.

                          @ thread starter,
Have ridden few hunks, all I can say is some vibrations do creep in at 4k rpm and fades away as rpms increase and again some vibes can be felt at around 6k rpm. If all these vibes are mild then its ok.
To me your problem seems like clutch is slipping some how.
You sure your clutch and pressure plates & tension springs are ok? Is your clutch operation hard?
Also inform us about the speed your bike can get to at different rpms on top Gear, say, 3k, 4k, 5k, 6k, 7k.

I feel that your Air Fuel Ratio is on the lean side...your normal cold idle is 1,200 rising to 1,800 RPM when HOT...this is abnormal. There should not be more than 250 Rpm increase between just warmed up engine RPM and a hot engine....
Check the AFR screw, and turn it ANTI Clockwise by HALF turn...your acceleration will be better ,and Vibes will all become less...and the difference between cold and hot engine idle RPM will be less.

Thank you... I'll give it try today. btw My native is ooty, its a chill hill station for where I go every weekends. The engine turns out to be super smooth whenever I go there but, when I come down to coimbatore to work it gets too bloody rough.. Is there anything I can do about it????
