I recently bought Pulsar 200NS but from the 2nd day onwards I can see that after riding a few kilometers the oil indicator starts blinking and won't stop until the ignition has been turned off. I took the bike to the service center they checked the oil level and coolant level and said everything seems to be fine and not to worry. Since its just a pressure indicator and sometimes the pressure might vary so nothing much to worry. Again after a few days I went back since I was facing the same problem and it seem to be that the engine gets heated up very soon say a ride of 2-3kms. This time they topped up the coolant and told me there was some loose connection and it would be fine. Yesterday again I took the bike back to them, they checked the fan if working or not and it was so they told me getting heated up is a normal thing and during the first service they will check the oil pressure thing if it continues to blink. Is it ok or am just being to curious.

Get it checked asap. And immediately turn engine off if 'low oil pressure' light comes on.
Few 220's had this issue, not any mechanical problem just some issue with sensors. And may be that's why svc guys are nah taking it seriously. But its better to be safe than sorry.

Nevertheless, Oil Pressure Icon Blinking is a very known issue. The sensor is the culprit, and is being replaced as well, and it won't harm the bike in any way.
BTW which SVC you went to? Almost all the SVC people are aware about the issue.Been There, Done That; Better!

Yeah point taken. Hope after 1st service everything falls in place.
Popular motors banngerghatta road....I was just worried if something wrong happens to the engine part.. feeling better now
Does the shifting also becomes a little stiff after riding few kilometers...

To check if radiator fan is working, one has to ride aggressively in traffic under high ambient temperature, it's not that easy!Been There, Done That; Better!

I don't think so the oil pressure icon will be solved at first service. Take it to Khivraj or Auto Service. But better to wait till the second service, when all issues will be sorted out. Gear shifts will also be very hard, it will bed in by 1000Kms. Don't worry, nothing is going to happen, just get the oil change in time.
200NS engine is relatively cooler and will not start even when you idle for a minute. And the engine temperature has to reach 98 and not 88 degrees to switch on the radiator fan.

To be sure check the OIL level in the OIL inspection window, with centre stand and the bike is off.Been There, Done That; Better!

@Thread Starter: Were you riding on slightly wet roads when this happened? If yes, this is definitely a sensor malfunction and a common occurance on the P220 too. Definitelly not a serious issue.
BUT, if this is not the case, we might need to dig deeper for the solution.Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

1st servicing done. The sensor problem still alive, really don't know what to do. Everyday day when I go to office or come back from office it starts blinking. I asked my younger who takes the bike to college he says he is not facing it. Yesterday I was at the pillion and he rode the bike no sign. Don't know whats going on. Also after riding for sometime rmp goes to 3 at idle even when shifting the rpm doesn't settle down immediately.
