Its like their favorite toy in the garage. Once they see a blinking machine, they always come back for it unless shouted upon (happens with me all the time I go to a friend's place)

@Shibadip yeah the alarm feature is pretty annoying i am going to disable that. The remote starter is purely for the fun of starting the bike without the key! i am not looking for anything from the Functionality wise, as i said it is purely for the fun of starting the bike.
rite its really funny sometimes it helps when someone was siting on your bike and you just have to press alarm button if you are somewere near to your bike.

i have played wid it many times 2 years on karizma zmr and 1 year on r15.
i was having minda center locking system wid 2 year wrranty.
never had any issue wid it.

My friend is using one 600 Rs System

The mechanic asked him an extra relay for the starting mechanism.[ Because remote system starting is done via micro electronics and it may blew up when connected directly]

It came with 2 speakers one for siren and other speaks like a navigation system [when we lock : "Vehicle Armed" ]

It has a vibration sensor so when some one sit/move the bike it scares them
first it will tell something by the speakers ans siren is activated for some time.

After two weeks he disconnected the speaking speakers because its annoying.

If he is using the not bike for a week he will disconnet the remote system from the battery.

Battery drains if you are not using the bike regularly.

It just give a show off and little extra security[Siren].

I think Reeving a bike is not possible with current Indian Bikes.
It may work if we hack th TPS of EFI bikes.

IMHO there is no point in revving and starting the bike form an remote, it just wastes the fuel

i think there is no harm in installing these things as long it is from reputed manufacturer like autocop/minda/xenos etc. but stay away from local/chinese ones.

and one can install a switch between these devices and battery to disconnect them easily incase of any issues like battery draining etc. and hide the switch somewhere inside lockable side panels or under the seat.

my bike P150 had a Xenos system worth rs 1000 three years back..

There were no batt draining issues.. I used the remote quiet often and regularly..

The bajaj Asc dealer and a bike electrician warned me about damage of CDI if i use it..

I neglected them and i had blown my Cdi after 5 months in mid of my journey . It was a horrible experience. Bike stalled completely and resisted to start whatever i did..

            I had to replace cdi..
The explanation given by mechanic and Bajaj ASC head to me was :
CDI is very sensitive to electrical fluctuations and it should receive the electrical signal in decent way...
The remote system however sends the signal in altered/changed way than stock...
The electrician said that he himself changed many damaged cdis due to remote systems and suggests to remove remotes to avoid future problems..

So as a experienced guy i will never suggest it, atleast for Pulsars..

            Now its your decision buddy..

I know a guy who took the 1st R15v2 delivery in Lucknow and got this Autocop, Teflon coating, Etc Etc (All that could be sold with the bike)

Poor guy tried to show off his dignity to his gf on the very 1st day. He forgot the bike was in gear and switched on the ignition key remote. Ideally the bike shouldnt have cranked but it did crank and eagerly went a few feet above. That was his great lucky day, the bike happen to fall halfway into a ditch just next to the spot where he parked. The final pic that he uploaded spoke the rest of the story.

              Think logically before doing anything.
