I am getting very low mileage from my discover 100cc. it is 1 year old and already its piston rings were worn once and i had to re bore the cylinder and fitted new piston. ( previously it used to emit white smoke on higher speeds). Mileage on this bike was an issue always but now-days it is giving almost ( 40-45 kmpl) now-days i ride under 50 most of the times. checked up the bike , maintained it well but still. tuned it several times once it gave 55 but once after that it again gone down. yesterday suddenly i noticed that
there is a pipe just on the top side cylinder head which was open :O i fitted that and have no idea what it does and from how long it was open???( does it has any connection with milege) (i assume it is for passing excess steam)
Another thing i noticed that ( yesterday i removed the carb's idling & fuel mix screws for inspection) I found one screw which i think is for idling was ok there was the screw , a spring , a metal washer and a black rubber O,ring , but on the another one i found only the spring and no washer and rubber ring was found. i checked the carb too but there also no washer and rubber ring found.
I am not sure that does the another screw had any washer and rubber ring???
if yes then can it be the problem for this low mileage???
I am attaching the following pictures of
1. the pipe which was open till yesterday at the cylinder head.
2. The screws.
3. My carb
