not to mention will the clip ons interfere with the turning lock to lock?
Provided they are higher than the tank with room for your fingers/gloves to not get caught, Last thing you want is to do a U turn and your fingers get jammed.

^ Precisely this. Sadly, I can know it only when I attempt this modification.

Thanks all for the thoughts, so far.

Since your decision was made, what is the point of this thread???

Besides all the above advices, you still want to go on: so do it, ruin your wrists, be unable to ride more than one hour, fit handles that are right forward so that they do not hit the tank, thus making your bike impossible to ride in town, etc...etc...

I could not care less, personally!
When I do something stupid, my consolation is to know that I'll do the worse one only once!

Any attempts like this before? I have seen guys with R15 fairing on FZ16 but not just the handlebar though..

Mods, please be kind enough to approve this thread.. I know I'm starting too many threads, for a new guy..
Care to explain which part of above say I have already decided?

I will not feed the troll anymore. Behave.

@Others, Sorry mates, this was totally uncalled for. Thanks for the suggestions. Keep throwing them.

r15 is one of the costlier bike to maintain....where signal per piece cost you Rs 250!!!! So get an idea of Handlebar!!

Actually this will F**K your bike's integrity!! FZ handle bar are boon for it's comfort and it's perfect!! Changing to R15 handlebar it will cause discomfort in ride!!

FZ riding posture is way different than R15, if you change the Handle then you have to bend more with your legs at same position, which will cause a riding discomfort!!

FZ itself is best!! Why you want a modification. changing the handle it will show the riding position as sports bike but it won't be a sports bike ever!!

Save money for it and buy a R15 and that would be more better than changing the handlebar!!
I understood from the Yamaha service company that it cost 350. Gotta go in person and check though.
