Thanks for the reply Yamdoot. Fork boots is a great idea..added to the procurement list.

For the headlight..I did have a look at the after market ones...but couldn't makeup my mind. Did have a look at an Endura with a FZ headlight on another thread. Here's the link to the pic

But, considering the fact that I am planning to go for RD meters, the rectangular headlight would give the bike a more meaty look.

This was one of my favourite bikes and I was searching all around to source one and got to see 1 with disc brakes and was in ok condition, he was asking for 15k and in the mean time was able to get a RX100 and changed my decision, have restored my RX100 to original, would want to see my bike simillar to the one in the snap

Possibly will do it sometime next year

Here's the pic with the stuff I bought along with the RD meters for the Endura. The meters are local ones but I got them cheap. If they work for a year..that would be great.

Got bunch of cables for the RD, clutch plates, Daichi points, front and rear break liners. Yezdi cables set, HT points and condensors, a single Yamaha OEM mirror and an RX 135 silencer (4speed).

                  Cheers,

Really nice to see you ve procured these many parts. Are you going to put fairing on the headlight? IF you are putting fairing, then RD Speedo/Tacho wont be looking good. I will suggest you to put Shogun/Shaolin speedo/Tacho if available. As both these bikes had fairing on headlight. I sent you a PM.

                      Hi Vimalnair4u,

Thanks for the reply. I am going for a more naked look, with just the RD meters and the KB headlight. No fairing involved. Found a spare meter bracket in my RD stuff and that's what going on the bike.

                      Keeping extra spares never hurts...

                      Cheers,

They cost a 1000 bucks Christo. But they are locally made ones and quality is decent at best.

Loki - First watch after strip down.

As you can see the bike has both 18" rims. I have now decided to go for the 19" front and 17" Hero Impulse rims. Will also be installing the Impulse disc brake setup on it. The disc assembly has been procured today.

Will get the Impulse rims and tyres tomorrow. Here a few pics of people admiring my Yezdi (HADES) when I was roaming around buying spares. Looking at their expressions make all the restoration effort worth it.

Looking for a screw - End up with a Jackpot!

                                Hi All,

Went around looking for an Endura Side panel..but couldn't get one. Will have to fabricate it. In the mean time, we got hold of a few more spares, primarily for the RD (CUPID) and Yezdi.

I also looked around for the Hero Impulse entire front end at a few Hero dealerships in Pune, but none of had any pricing details or information about spares availability. Does anyone know where I can get this?
