    Super bike tires need help!

    Knowing how I just wander aimlessly this time raincoat I decided am going to start my hunt for new set of tires soon as I hit the halfway mark on the existing set.

    Am specifically looking for Michelin pilot road 3 series
    120/70 zr16 front
    190/55 zr17 or 190/60 zr17 or 200 series rear tire


    Metzker, Pirelli have worn out @ 5-6k ...the best tire I have used in terms of life are the dunlop sportsmax am @ 6k km and they still have 40-50% left in them.

    I have been told that Pilot road 3 have been known to run for 10k miles in the us.

    Does any one know where I can get then in Bangalore.... This is my 2 attempt after march trying to hunt this particular model. This is how they look

      Did you try in JC Road. . ? That's where my friend gets best tires for himself and others. . .

          Don't expect it to run 10k here in India bro. Road quality is league apart.

            Here is a pic of sportsmax @ 6300 odd km...they will last till 8 k before they are bald I suppose...

            Hence expecting 10k km from hard compound tires..

              [MENTION=54541]harish.krovvidi[/MENTION] shall go talk to the Michelin guys at HSR tomorrow but highly doubt that the specific model shall be available,

              Spoke with some Michelin guys in Mumbai too and they say it's doubtful to get the same profile tires. They have a semi hard compound one for 13k but that again is a 190/50/ZR17

                @snehithpereira - yes that is the michillin pilot CT2 they are multi compound but the formula is gen1 or gen 2 so they have similar durability of the sportmaxs.

                if you in that area pls do check with them also share me a pic of what they have. I checked at customs while leave on monday night they advised that i cannot carry the tires back into the country as it will be check for ISI marking and not released. so my plans of bring them from here are down the drain. i just have 6 more hours before leaving work. then its way back to home sweet home....

                  Was at the Michelin store unfortunately didn't find anybody who knew what he was talking about, just got bullshit fron the guys there. However I realised one thing that they have only the soft compunds here in Blore, got someone going to the national capital next week, when we meetup this weekend please explain what exactly you need such that I can convey the same and confirm if it's available there, if so can arrange for it to be bought down from there

                    actual tire front after 1250 km


                    Got a set for 22600 Bangalore. Bought 2 sets for myself and a friend.
                    120/70 zr17
                    200/50zr17

                    Wowzer for the price.

                    He's done 1250km on his pair in 2 weeks riding to Hyderabad and back.
