• RE Electra 350 4s problem

On 5th of this month I took my RE Electra 350 4S for a trip of some 120KM though in recent I changed my clutch cable,Engine oil,Gear oil bike is running great till 60/65kph.Now the problem part is I'm not been able to push it +65kph it not getting 80> above how much I try.Next is as I drive for some 30/40KM constant on 60+ speed when I had to stop on the signal I felt my engine speed suddenly got increased like mad.I kill the engine and wait for some 10 minutes on the road next when I started RE got back it's normal engine sound.
Any one for help?

I am not an RE guy but still can shed some light here, . . The common issue for bike not going above 65kph is mainly cos of a clogged carb or the diaphragm is torn. . . Changing the diaphragm to a new one, will sort it out. . .

About that engine behaviour, that's too related to carb, . . So, just get the carb cleaned once, if the diaphragm is gone, replace it and then it'll be back to normal. . .

Cheers!!!

Ok, is this happening after this long time soak in rain?? I mean just trying to find out if it is the carb issue or the clutch plates..

also when did you get the clutch plates replaced??

Seems like it can be either water in tank/carb.. or the clutch plates need replacement.. or like what Rakesh Rok said.. the diaphragm needs replacement..

I do have a similar problem now as said by the above, this Monday while coming half way to office, faced heavy rain, just came to the office, parked it and after around 5-6 hours, I wanted to go back, then ahhh here it is, the same problem, bike doesn't start up quickly and power isn't going above 5k rpm, it takes too long time to get to 60-70kph. . . Will take it to the mechanic soon and get a full servicing done, cos it's already 4-5 months since I left for a proper service last time but basic servicing like oil change, brake tightening, chain lubing, etc., have been made though. . .

Cheers!!!
