Re: FZS fuel sensor problem
Query Approved
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: FZS fuel sensor problem
What is the exact problem?? Digital fuel indicators are pretty bad when it comes to accuracy. They are neither graded nor calibrated linearly and therefore differ from motorcycle to motorcycle, even of the same model, depending on manufacturing batch.
However what they are good at is consistency.
So suppose if you put in X litres of fuel over reserve and indicator shows 3 bars then it should show 3 bars every time you put in X litres. If it does that every time then the sensor is perfectly fine. If the sensor shows 1 bar sometimes, then 3 bars the next time, then 2 bars the next time - then there is something wrong with the sensor. All this assuming you consistently fill up petrol as soon as the tank hits reserve (say within 10-15 kms every time).
Do not expect your fuel sensor to linearly give you an idea about the volume of fuel left in the tank. That is not what it is supposed to do.---

Re: FZS fuel sensor problem
I had replied to the same query in the ownership thread also.Originally posted by raj82q View PostGuys i need help with my fzs fuel indicator does not show proper quantity i dont know what is wrong with it ??should i replace it , If yes then how on my own and what will fuel sensor cost??
The digital meters are not accurate in any bike. They are there just for reference.
Also, ride the bike for sometimes to get a reading. Don't take the reading as soon as you start the bike.
Ride safe and have fun.
