I am grinning after reading your posts. Ask me why !!

Because in your heart you want to go for ninja. Every sentence you punch in here reflects that. It's just that you are trying to justify your conscious by your or our comments. Trust me I have been in that phase. Go with your heart if you can afford it.

Ninja is a screamer and revs all the way upto 13k rpm. Add to it the twin cylinders and you have a ripper at your disposal. Post 1600 kms (run-in period) there will be no turning back.

Ninja has one of the most rock solid engine buddy. On the 250, many have done well over six digits on ODO before engine rebuild abroad and as you can guess they in no way ride like us

The only issue I know is the front brake pads wearing out at 4k kms. Apart from that the bike is a keeper. One of my friend recently did 25000kms in 10 months on N300 without any hassles whatsoever.

I think what Divya meant was that riding hard will have a negative effect on the engine on the long run, which is true but Ninja is made to take as much abuse as possible

If you dont bring VFM or the maintanence cost into equation, its no-brainer N300 all the way.
The Ceeber is meant for cruising, cant take high rpm torture for a longer time compared to Ninja. I can imagine what your riding style/ requirements are as you say you've seized your duke 200. That kicks the cbr 250 out of your equation, Go for the N300! an extra cylinder helps in reducing the stress of an engine to a greater extent especially at high revs and N300 also has much better quality. nuff said book a Ninja!

OK, first thing is, Shim replacement is not an issue in CBR. Its a part of regular maintainance. Shims needs replacement every 12-20K kms, depending on your style of riding. It costs around 1300 rs.And CBR can take fair amount of abuse, Wonderful build quality, Damn easy on pocket.
But yes, for a riding style you have mentioned, Ninja seems to be the one, that can quench your thirst for hard ripping. I always say, CBR is not involving. Its an alrounder, but mastered in none. If I could afford, I would choose Ninja over CBR any day.

Well generally if ur into touring, the Honda will do your part
The riding position in the ninja is very aggressive so don't think of much touring
                I have the ninja 250
Awsome joy to ride in city
I think Compared to kawasaki,Honda might be a lot cheaper to maintain
Kawasaki parts are freaking expensive for a student like me
Recently my friend broke my front indicator
Went to bajaj probiking to replace
                The price was rs1695.
[emoji23]pretty expensive for a bulb indicator
But kawasaki mechanical parts are said to be very top notch [emoji108] and won't give you any problem
All the best with your new bike

and i am guessing your friend in not into DIY or serious motorcycle info ??
he really paid for the indicator when TVS indicator is direct replacement for 150 bucks,
the cbz brake pads front fit rear ninja pads for again 200 bucks.
the brake levers of unicorn are direct fit...

this is just the tip of the list. please update him of these parts. he probably will save a lot of money...

btw the petal rotors are already good... why do you want change them this soon. atleast use them for close to 15-20k and then move on to better rotors...

                              Hey Chinmay.
I would like to suggest you to go for Kawasaki Ninja if your budget allows.
It is a better bike in every term than the Honda CBR 250.
So far after service is concerned, you will get poor service in both the cases.
Ninja is better in terms of build quality so expect less trips to service centers.
