as its a complete week and nobody has replied to your post, i would suggest you to ask same query on bcmtouring. community mentioned is more of touring centric then technical and here its completely opposite. i am sure, you will get help there.
mods, i don't know whether its allowed or not to name other forums here. if yes, please forgive me.

I haven't travelled on the Mumbai - Hyderabad Highways.. however i have travelled on the Hyderabad - Nagpur Highways.. fantastic straight roads with some constructions and laying roads for about 50 kms of 550 kms.. I am sure the Road conditions to Mumbai would be a delight to travel on..

Re: Hyderabad to mumbai on bike(Thunderbird 350)

The journey from hyd to pune is not very challenging.

        Route : Hyd - zaheerabad - Naldurg - Solapur - Pune - Mumbai

The road conditions of the hyd - solapur is not good. In the 70kms of karnataka part , its pretty pathetic. Kindly ride carefully till solapur to avoid any damages to rims or suspension etc. Also take care on the curves of Naldurg.. the tarmac is broken and traffic goes crazy over there.

From Solapur onwards its a charm ... properly laid 4 lanes with a few diversions in between (negligible). Also there will be a chowk in the entrance of solapur which leads to the Outer ring road. You save a lot of time and tension if u succeed to take that.
Entering Pune city might be a bit challenging due to heavy traffic. From Pune , there are 2 highways that goes to mumbai. The new mumbai-pune express highway is nor allowed for 2 wheelers. Make sure you take the old Mumbai-pune highway. Its is a decently good condition.

        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Tips - carry good rain gears with you. GPS is of great help where entering and crossing Pune city is concerned. Download the maps of solapur , Pune wo that you can use it in even off line mode.

Start early in the morning from hyd. You will find enough dhabas in the outskirts of solapur where you can have lunch.

Keep an eye on the road for ppl or cattle jumping on to the highway from no where. Maintain low speeds when nearing villages & towns.

        Ride Hard ... Ride Safe.
