    Best Bike Shampoo

    Hi all,
    I need suggestions regarding bike shampoos. I have been using Waxpol shampoo for more than 15 months on my SS-125 and was pretty satisfied with the result. Now, I have to buy a new one and open for any suggestions regarding any alternatives. I have done a little research on my part and have came across names like Formula 1, Amway etc. but have not been able to come to a conclusion till date as I myself have not used any of them.
    Please suggest as I don't want to spend too much and at the same time don't want the paint damaged due to a sub-standard product. Thanks in advance!

    Query Approved.

    I always use Sunsilk, which more than suffices my need. Secondly, don't use powerful surfactant based stuff. Gives pleasant smell and good clean surface.

      Using clinic plus or head n shoulders from past 8-9 years to clean our bikes.

          Myself used Sunsilk(Black) last Sunday. Not bad. But, not sure about the effect though.

            Too many hairy bikes here!
            Just use automotive shampoo it's cheaper and better.
            Wurth is good, though I am switching to a local unbranded shampoo which is a little cheaper and used by a few good body shops over here.

              Use Genteel or Ezee from Godrej, as these have got gel type formulation and are designed to clean woollen clothes, i found genteel to be little bit more softer than ezee cleans quite well.

                And I assume that there were no ill effects on the paint job. And how does it shine after wash?

                  I didn't found any ill effects after the wash, the only thing is one has to use lots of water to thoroughly remove the soap that's the only bad effect i felt, but i don't wash my bike very often, you can also check out for Johnson baby shampoo as it's made for babies so it might not be havinf any harmful chemicals.

                      I am using it currently its good
                      I tried a hair shampoo i guess it was dove sachet i dint like it because i felt the surface of paint was too dry and was not smooth to touch
                      I recommend Formula1 stay away from hair shampoo...

                          Would highly recommend you to stay clear from any shampoo which is not made for automobiles. Paint surfaces and hair and skin are different. If you are on a budget try and use Motomax Shampoo. If you can spend a little go for Meguiar Shampoo or Sonax. Formula 1 shampoo is also good.
                          In kolkata you can buy it from BP Roadies or several other shops in wellington. If you want to buy it online you can check India pretty reliable website i have bought several stuff from them.

                            I am sure [MENTION=39214]B7ACKTHORN[/MENTION], [MENTION=57890]maninderz[/MENTION], [MENTION=57707]krishnashk[/MENTION] have very clean, dandruff-free hair; but hair shampoos are very weak in removing dust, tar and road grime. You need to use automotive detergents to effectively clean tough stuff on painted surfaces. Pickup something by Sonax, Meguiars or Mothers or even Motomax to clean and wax your bike.

                              Formula1 is good. But finding orginal is difficult... most of the shops own duplicates
