well, glass wool are spread evenly inside the expansion chamber surface to suppress exhaust noise. I've never seen glasswool coming out of any Pulsar OEM exhausts. However, these kind of things are typical with local Canners!!
Now, why..? In most of the cases, Glasswool material is well binded within the exhaust. Now, unless and unitll the bike's exhaust has been subjected to violent vibrations or shock or excessive heat within the chamber, they dont come out.
Just to be sure, get your bike checked at BAL service centre.

I have read all the replies carefully.

@ ravi 17 bhp: It felt like many mosquitoes biting together. Damn! Very irritating. and that increased manifold times, after I "rubbed" my hand a bit ...
      -
@ Joel: Old at 8500 kms ODO Reading? Well, Just Another blow to Bajaj reliability...
      -
@ Other members: It never met an accident/ shock/ extreme vibration. After this hairy encounter, The bike seems fine, & the exhaust sound has an increased "woof" sound. Acceleration seems a bit better...

I'll get my bike checked. But, is it necessary to get the silencer changed?

@ Guys: Now-a-days, Hairs come out everyday in small quantities. Bike is fine.

The service centre people say it won't damage, still I an get it changed if I want...

Tell me guys, Is it really necessary to get the silencer changed?

Did you ask if only the glasswool can be replaced? As fas I know the stuff is called "Sound Absorber", similar thing is found on inside of Sound Boxes specially the subwoofers and woofers which blow out the low range frequencies, the glasswool is packed to absorb most of the vibrations and to make the "thump" more prominent.

take it to the local mechanic and tell him to open the silencer from the end.......and then tell him to remove the whole glasswool outta it...(make sure you dont touch it)....

the moment you'll remove it start ur bike and hear a completely new deep exhaust beat.......

my frnd has a p150 and we did this 3 months back......

Maybe your bike is attaining puberty !!

Another pointer to prove that the Pulsar is definitely male !!

                    Me too ....

Say hello to the newest member of the hair-in-my-bike's-rear club!! Just noticed this a week ago in my P150 UG2. n my pals had da most creative explanation for this, ranging from 'someone must have manually put them in there' (duh!) to tantrik n supernatural stuff!!
anyway, wats the verdict on having to replace the exhaust? The quantity is presently minimal in my bike, but i guess this is just the beginning!

                        its from the silencer mate!

there is no problem with it
it will come out by itself and you will get a more prominent bass and vroom

No they don't. The 150 have 24mm header pipe while the 180 have 29mm header pipe.
