  • Please give suggesstions

I have a two month old pulsar 180. Right from day 1, the bike was wobbling at 40-70kmph. I showed to SVC. They loosened the Collar. Problem was not solved. I showed to every mechanic in my place. An expert confirmly said that it is matter of front tyre. As per his Solution, I visited SVC and on Demand I replaced my Front mag assembly of a 220( display model in showroom). The problem had vanished with the new wheel. The mechanic was right. I then told the SVC the actual reason for the vibration. They told the tyre is faulty. I went to MRF showroom in my place and checked the condition of tyre. They said the tyre is in good condition and adjusted the breeding of the tyre with the mag again. When I rode my bike again, the problem still remained. When I and my mechanic checked the RIM, we found the fault. It was bent on left side. Which is purely a manufacturing defect. Now the SVC is not ready to replace the faulty mag and they are asking 2800INR for a new mag. They suggested me to apply insurance. I dont wish to apply insurance because it will decrease my valuation of the bike. So what to do? It is a manufacturing defect. So warranty will cover on this right? They said it might be my mistake, may be dropped to pothole. Damm is it possible?. Even is serious accidents I see the front Shocks get bent and not mag. The MRF service person told me that the tyre should get damaged first before the rim. Since there was air in my bike, he said there is now way the Mag getting damaged. So please help me in resolving my issue. Even the Engineer of bajaj has suggested me to claim insurance. Just now I called customer care and logged an complaint in this.

    Query Approved.

Right until one year, most of the components in the bike are replaceable under warranty, which must be duly done by the SVC folks. Yes sometimes potholes do bend the rims to a very fine degree enough to cause handling problems, especially the wobble. I've faced this in my 220. The problem begins when you start to accelerate and reach around 55 to 60 the bike begins to wobble, and from there on, it decreases when the speed increases or decreases below 50, but occurs in the 60 to 65 range. I'd suggest you to get your fork alignment, and your wheel both get checked and replaced if necessary.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

      Hi bro pavit here

Bro ur right at ur place don't claim insurance just for 2800/- Inr, U should do one great thing.

Take ur bike to service center for maxium time for Same problem And evrytime drop a mail to svc head And Mark bajaj head office in cc,after repeated interval of more than 5 times in a month ,just warn them to resolve ur problem on intact or u will go to comnsumer support. That thing only can help u.

Ensure them that u have never shown ur bike to any one other then svc.

I replaced my rear alloy with Same process, but it's YAMAHA And there head office took promt action on my first mail And my alloy get changed.

      Hope I helped

You are Right. But in Bajaj every mail I drop is forwarded to an Engineer who acts like a geek. Today already my Engg told me to replace MAG through Insurance. I dodnot want to do it. Because it has direct effect on Depreciation value. Else I need to use my pocket for that 2800rs

Yes. Those vibes occur at 45kmph and vanish at 60 kmph in my case. When I was cornering at 60 kmph where my bike was about to skid due to wobbling. At that point this issue became very serious to me. Tiil then I had learnt to live with it.

Ask them to be ready if any miss happening happens with you, they are in consumer court in next moment.
