    keep it same.

i suggest dont ever go for any kind of heavy cosmetic mods. it will just ruin the appeal.

    go for the 200 kit.

although the change is not very huge there is a good change and it feels good.

do not the change the silencer for any dubba cans.. unless they are good ones from like KRP tectrac or automech...

NGK plugs are good but you dont get the performance that you expect with those. they just help in a better combustion mainly for larger capacity engines.

I personally have a K&N . its good ONLY for the sound. With which i am really happy but the reality being i have to clean my carb regularly.

i am still doin research on the handle bars . the after market ones are ok but not all that comfortable. i had a bad experiance of mine breaking off while i was riding !! had to tie it up with a cloth and went to the nearest mech.

If the 220 clip ons can be done i guess that would be good . does any one know if that can be done on the conventional 180/150's ??

    cheers
    Avin..
Thanks Avin. I dont intend to change the looks of the my bike, am quite happy with the way it looks. Just want to give her a few performance mods.

I had the option of changing my bikes exhaust with that of the UG3 but resisted as I love my bikes exhaust note, so thats one thing thats not going away.

Handlebar breaking away sounds scary man!! Personally not a fan of the clip ons, quite happy with a 180's handlebar.

Will do some research on the options you mentioned ...

    Thanks mate

Here's what you can do with your P180

Bore out to a 200cc You'll just need the piston
200 valves on your existing head and a rework
Upgrade to the DTSI if you're running the classic electricals and head
A good carb and a filter
An exhaust professionally made or the 200/220 exhaust would be good too

Tyres : Try the new zapper range or the Michelin M45
                83' RD350 HT
                96' RXG
                97' RXZ
                91'RX100>09'RX165
                2010' HH ZMR

if he converts it to a dtsi..a new dtsi bore will also have to be purchased

I have used DTSI CDI on my P150 classic. Grunt improves a little at the lower end and 4-5k rpm got much smoother than before.

Anyone else has any experience with them?

Yeah I know. The one I used cost around 600 bucks. But it has TPS wires, so not the classic one for sure. They also told me of another CDI costing abt 2k. All these are at bajaj svc. So dont know which one is for which UG!

The carb is the same BS26. I brought the reed switch and the magnet and fixed it to the carb. The smoothness, that I was talking about comes from this. If I disconnect the TPS, the smoothness goes away.

Bumped into a old thread eh?
Hey even I was wondering if the 220;s hahdlebars and footrests are a retrofit on my p180UG3. the riding posture will be a boon as i am 6'1" and find it quite uncomfortable on my bike

I just love the classic pulsar's exhaust and also the exhaust note. is there any chance that i can get it installed to my ug3? i plan to use just the silencer. not the whole pipe. coz the older one didnt hav TEC.

Any suggestions? Will it f^^k up the engine?

I dont think because first, classics had catalytic converters whereas DTSI dint...
Second i dont think classics silencers would be available so easily....!

Anyways, I also own a pulsar classic 150 which would turn 7 on 20th of this month.......
but I wont be with her to celebrate....

no they are not... u need to get the 220's 32mm fork set(the complete kit) to get the clipon installed....correct me if i'm wrong, i fear this would lead to changing the front alloy as well as disc...

and same for the foot pegs, they are not a straight fit.. u can go in for a welding job, but that being an aluminium bit, i doubt its reliability... the worst factor is vibrations... u feel like riding an apache...

PS: the 4th variant has the same foot pegs of the P220...

EDIT: i have a friend who has done the same alterations... will try to get some pics of tat bike and post it...

                                Alloy change is not needed.
