Also, its mainly the back seat of Avenger which needs to be modified. It doesn't have sufficient cushion, and Its very thin in width. to be frank, anyone's butt doesn't accumulate the seat properly and it mainly hurts in the butt crack.
Its the same experience, as if sitting on a bouncing thin bench !

That endurance shock absorber is the same one from the thunderbird??

any body can tell me the dimensions of the P220's or karizma's swingarm ?? I suppose it can accomodated a 140 section rear tire without any rubbing. I just want to know the dimensions of the swingarm.

The reply may sound very much rude, but no offense to your enthusiasm, if there is any.

Coming to the modifications you have planned.

I remember you started a thread earlier to mod the entire front of avenger with Enfield parts like front forks, discs and bigger wheels.

It was explained to you there that this wont be worth the hassle as avenger is already a heavy bike for the performance it is giving and not to mention, you will make it lazy.

Here again you are asking the same thing but this time its rear suspension. You want Enfield's suspension at rear and larger wheels again.

Why dont you get the Enfield in first place ?

Did you draw a picture of your bike along with these mods, to have a clear picture ?

Do you know if you change the swingarm with any other bike, you will shorten the wheelbase ? Which in turn will look disastrous when visualized along with the rear frame of the chassis where the seats are placed:banghead::banghead:

Are you planning to change the rear subframe of the chassis as well, with royal enfield's ?

The stock avenger is more than sufficient, if the problem is with the cushioning of the rear seat, why dont you get a seat mod with ample cushions ?

All the mods you have planned is only going to add more weight and no gain at all and no wonders on the money spent and the end product will be ugly, if not draw it yourself and then see.

Bajaj has planned a diwali launch this year have patience and wait until then for the new avenger, if they launch or if you are so obsessed with Royal Enfield's suspension and large wheels, go get the Enfield.

It is seriously not worth the moolah to spend ridiculous amount of money to mod a avenger with only visual upgrades and no performance gains.

If you are still so much passionate, plesse go ahead and surprise us what you have got, sincere goodluck for that

The enfield in the first place is very unreliable. no offence to the enfield fans but i don't want my bike to be in the garage every fortnight searching for the origin of leakages, changing broken cables and checking for loose bolts.
As far as the swingarm is concerned, I want to increase it in length, not decrease it. So please read my questions before you give me your valuable advice.
As far as tires are concerned, a 140/ 70 r17 gains only half an inch in the outer diameter to the stock 130/90 r15 avenger tire.

I want inputs on the swingarm lengths of the above bikes. if they are shorter, I want to know of some good fabricators

Regarding the performance of the avenger, have you ridden one in the first place?? it is a very good performer, with enough grunt left for quick overtakes even above speeds of 80 kmph, and it does that without rattling your bones as compared to an enfield. Do you know the weight comparisons of the two bikes?

I have posted in one or two forums about suspension change and increase little bit in height by 1-2 cm which doesn't affect the riding ergonomics or handling...
Why can't u read the posts ?
Anyway No need to lengthen the swing arms it will surely change the center of gravity and there by decreasing stability,
And my rear tyre is TVS RAMBO 140/90-15 Which needed a slight bent in pipe going to drum brake and brake line and some swingarm widener is used to increase some width... As far as above ... Rearmost portion of chasis which comes downward has to be cut a bit if I put this RAMBO tyre... Which again doesn't do any harm as it is just some extra portion only

Am posting once more again for
Those who want to see what all I have modded ... Here it is...
1.The swing arm was widened using a metal washer/bush
2. The rod going to drum hub was bend
3. The rear SHOCKS are THUNDERBIRD ENDURANCE GAS SHOCKS
4.The underside chasis marked has cut and removed protruded portion only...No harm to chasis done
5.The center stand has been raised a bit
6. The stock exhaust has modified to 1.5 inch free flow exhaust with catalytic converter removed
