  • Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge - Ideas needed

    Hi Friends ,

I Have a Apache RTR 160 Hyper Edge and i want to increase its performance and looks without adding accessories of any other bikes.

If you have any ideas to improve performace please post it as a comment and ill take care of that - No Budget (Anything for my Bike)

If there is any altered acessories like metal rear mud flap and etc please notify me ... and also for colouring ideas please suggest me ...

I just heard about increasing performance is
    1. K&N Filter
    2. Free Flow Exhaust
    3. Iridium Sparks

If there is anything else please notify me

    Thanks in ADVANCE

    Topic Approved.

While there are lots and lots of people who can do it, there are very rare, who can do it right. Just remember this.

Safe modifications could be trying to improve aerodynamics, weight reduction, etc. But you intend to modify the engine, and you'll need an expert for doing it well.
Most mechanics will just convince you with loud noise, but it will not have good performance.

And the company tuning by itself is as good as it gets.

For example, the 390 engine by KTM has few aftermarket exhausts, even from reputed international brands, but most can only increase the mid range and low end of the engine, not the top end. The stock exhaust is that good.

@Dineshlives....Do not try to modify your engine since reliability will be lost .Many have tried and have lost their engine and were forced to go back to stock.Afterall the designer of the engine Knows Best about the operating parameters of the engine design he had made...K&N will shorten engine and carburetor life since it allows more DUST to flow in to the engine...
Just like our Senior Moderator Samarth Singh had advised, stick to stock...if you want more power go for Higher CC bike..

Then you can try sprocketing changes . Decrease GB(small) sprocket by One tooth or increase rear sprocket by 2~3 teeth. There is a separate thread on this called "World of Sprockets" which has voluminous data....remember if you do this you will get increased pickup but at higher RPMs, and your top end will be lower.

You want mods for both bikes?

Since you have a Duke200, for performance only try changing the Sprocket. As said by psr theres a different thread for it.

For body modifications, KTM has a catalog for Duke 200 accessories. Visit their showroom and ask them for it or check it on their website.

The most you can do is add handle guards, hybrid crash guards with frame sliders, tank pads, magnetic tank bag if you need one, you can go with exhaust pipe from couple of companies such as Akrapovic or IXIL Hyperflow, you can get a Tail Tidy to shorten the length of the rear mud flap,

Other than that, you wont be needing anything else.

As for the RTR, I wouldnt recommend doing anything with it. Just try maintaining it properly. The filters and sparkplugs are okay but dont really give a major boost to performance. Same applies to the exhaust pipes. Dont go installing ridiculous exhaust pipes hand welded by local shops. They will make your bike look 10x more uglier. If you really do want an exhaust pipe, try looking into proper Aftermarket ones tailored for your bike or universal exhaust pipes

                              :.Welcome To Race Concepts.:

ON that page, they havent shown details of teh various upgrades that they mentioned. You can contact them and ask for more details, maybe photos of performance improvements via Dyno graphs etc. Also that exhaust that they are talking about, tell them to send a photo of that exhaust as well.

If you live nearby them you can go visit their shop I guess

They are stationed here: Begur-koppa road, Begur, Bangalore - 560 068
