        If your specific about wd40, order it online.
        one of the best/economical option for chain cleaning is to use kerosene/diesel in a spray bottle (colin) and a brush to scrub.

          Absolutely right. I use diesel and grunge brush to clean my chain and use either motul or dupont chain lube afterwards. I believe using expensive chain cleaners is pointless but we should use best lubes.

            i use used engine oil 80% of the time to lube the chain (because my svc does that for free).. in fact even the cleaning itself if done by the used engine oil along with a grunge brush at times, otherwise a diesel/water wash. The only times i use spray can lubes is when am touring and sometimes i spray on a coat of nulon grease spray and this lasts pretty long between lubing intervals especially if you expecting to ride in the rain.
            what's more important than brand of lube is that you follow the 500~700km lubing interval religiously and keep them O rings wet with oil.
            I ride a D200 and it's seen its fair share of touring, rains, offroading(i mean muddy roads, lake beds etc..) and have covered close to 25k km in almost two years now and my chain/sprocket kit will easily last me another 5k km at-least.

              Zorrik is available in many hardware shops as well as at the outlets where engine oil is sold.

              Zorrik does the equivalent of wd40.

                I had seen a video of a guy using diesel last month and then it completely slipped out of my mind. [emoji52]

                I'm going to use diesel this time and see. I guess it will work much efficiently because people use diesel as a degreaser while washing bike & Call is Disel wash in Mumbai.

                Any precaution to take with diesel?

                I should just ride normally for 2-3 kilometres after diesel cleaning & it will the chain will throw it off?

                  Also, I've enquired in around 30+ shops till now ranging from hardware shops to motorcycle repair and other shops. They had no clue what WD40 is.
