  • carburetor idling and AFR settings for APACHE RTR 180

    hello xBHPians ,

after 2nd servicing at SVC, i am getting (bob bob) like sound from exhaust..when i quickly close the throttle .

is carb setting is responsible for that?

    and if so ...

please help me in tuning the same..

what is default settings ? and how to do..?

    Topic Approved.

Please ensure the exhaust is not damaged in any way. Carb may be to blame too.

Why don't you show them to the service center itself? They're the best judges right now, because we need more details to come to a conclusion, and to physically inspect the bike too.

Its regarding its carb setting..i wanna know what is the optimal no. Of rotations of air fuel mixture screw so that my bike does not give any hiccups or any mis firing and can obtain optimum average. And optimum pickup too

There's no optimal number of rotations for any carburetor. It's almost always different for every other bike. It depends upon many factors. Try tuning it by following guides on the internet. If I had to pick an option, it would be anywhere between 2 and 4 turns. I have a P135 and my carb is set at 3.25 turns right now.
