  • Low Power

    Hi guys,

Yesterday I had went for the World Motorcycle Day ride in Kolkata.

4 days back I had went to my regular mechanic for servicing my FZ16.
After the servicing my mechanic told me that the Float Pin in the Carburettor was malfunctioning so he had changed it.

Now, we can't really pick up speed in the city usually, hence could not find out the following problem until yesterday.

On my ride I noticed I can't go beyond 6000rpm, no matter how hard I accelerate, and the top speed reached on the highway was 82kmph on my way back home.
    I tried a lot for a while but it didn't cross 82kmph.

Can anyone give me an idea what could have possibly gone wrong with my bike?

Check float height..Lower level of petrol in carburetor bowl will reduce top speed and RPM...check carburetor slide and clean to keep it moving freely

Looks like Diaphragm is damaged. Float pin if goes bad, will leak fuel when bike is stationary.
