  • Adding the Fazer Fairing to my '09 Yamaha FZ-S

Hello guys. I have an urgent request to make. I am tired of the naked look of my FZ-S so I have decided to add the Bikini Fairing of Fazer. I have to take the bike to the service center tomorrow. I want to know what are the advantages as well as disadvantages of adding a third party fairing. Please reply on this thread ASAP.

    Query Approved
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

When it comes to fairing, there isn't really much of a difference performance wise I suppose, it would majorly be a cosmetic change only. The only possible disadvantage I could think of is the increased possibilities of loose bolts or parts, and thus rattling sounds, which honestly isn't really a big deal. Looks are subjective, if you like the looks of adding a fairing, go ahead with it, it won't do any damage

As soon as the service center guy spoke about welding some parts I chickened out... I just asked him to replace the front headlight and the fit the two plastic wedges perfectly.. Thanks for the the advice though and I won't mind the admin closing and deleting this thread as my work is done.. ☺️

Looking for the same for my gixxer to convert into sf but problem is cost above 6k, slight misalignment in the welding of the socket (in steering section) even in some millimetre might sway the bike left or right , and it still remains a single headlight for sf, Fazer has dual so I'm not spending 6k+ for a fairing job, rather spend in a decent quality projector setup for 6k or Cyclops led for 5k.
