actually My formula1 wax(yellow color box with semi solid polish) got fungus in it...along with some particals..so have to get a polish for myself...but I really doubt about the quality over here..replicas are too common.
You should know where to buy if you want to avoid fakes. Buy only from reputed shops/well known shops. I'v never been fooled by a fake yet.

@aravind- Sorry buddy I just saw ur PM. Its better late than never. I tried replyin to your message but seems some problem.
here goes the reply about ur query-

I use Sonax Chrome & Alupaste polish for Chrome and aluminium parts and Sonax High Gloss metal polish for the metal parts.
For the plastics I use 3M car care kit which has a vinyl dresser, a glass cleaner, a tyre polish and a shampoo. I use all of 'em
Sonax u can get it in any Shell petrol bunks, but I doubt about the Chrome alupaste. I got it straight from the Methods Automotive godown which is in basvangudi near south end circle.
3M you can get in any good (zhing zhhang types) automobile accessories shop.
          Costs-
Sonax High gloss Metal polish- Rs. 400
Sonax Alupaste- Rs 250 (I guess)
3M car care kit- Rs. 700
Sonax Car shampoo with polish- Rs. 350

I clean the dry dust on a daily basis if possible and keep the bike covered. Since there is no proper size cover available for Avenger, I had to get one made to order from a shop in JC road (it was a tarpaulin shop) .. He took a proper size of my bike and it covers the bike end to end including front tyres, cost Rs. 450 but its a very good quality unlike the lousy 150 bucks ones.

Covering the bike is very important even if its in shade, as the metallic paint tend to attract dust which makes it look brownish. Later no matter how much u clean the brownishness will not go and will become permanent.

Recently picked up a bottle of Protectol. Its a Waxpol product.

Cost - 35 ml bottle for Rs. 20.

Usage areas - It is supposed to protect all surfaces - paint, plastics, rubber, etc.

My experience - Does a fairly good job. On painted surfaces it gives a wet/oily kinda look and a smooth to touch finish. Kinda good at hiding scratches. But its not a polish, IMO... just something that leaves a protective layer on surfaces. It seems especially good for applying on the speedo console and other plastic parts. Does not seem to last for very long... possibly about couple weeks, depending on usage, of course.

Cost is not really justified as you can pick up a big Formula1 liquid bottle for about Rs. 300 which you can also apply everywhere, and is likely to be better (not used it yet... but considering that F1 products are generally better). A bigger bottle might however be more competitively priced.

                          PROTECTOL

Bought a bottle of ArmourAll yesterday. Yet to try it out properly. It can be applied ONLY to painted surfaces however.

Yes, at automobile accessory stores, spare part stores, supermarkets, some lube dealers, etc...

I got Protectol from a car accessory shop. The Armourall from a shop that sells lubes as the main thing.
